players that have signed with an agent can travel with the team? I think that would be a violation...at least it should be

The roster restrictions for road games applies only to the regular season, not bowl games. Every player can travel to bowl games and they typically do, even the walk ons. The bowl trips are a reward for the whole squad.

what part of not being on the sidelines to support your team do you not understand?

where did this narrative start that Fournette won't be at the game? Straight from the horse's mouth
quote:

Fournette thanked LSU and his coaches “for not letting me play,” but added that he planned to continue to support his teammates through the Citrus Bowl and travel with the team for the game.

I'm sure that Orgeron will have no problem getting him a sideline pass for the game. And I'm sure Fournette will be more than able to pony up the cash to travel on his own dime

then you all might have more of a point

I still wouldn't care, but at least you all would have more of a justification

I have noticed. He was still a part of the team then also, you know doing team stuff with the team.

So would you honestly be ok if LSU was in the playoff and LF quit to prepare for the draft? Come on

then you can address it then. But as of today, he has said he will be there. So why are people assuming he won't be?

Then he quit on his team. Great guy, great ambassador for LSU but you are there 100% for your teammates until the season is over, injured or not. Simple.

these are the same people that were running around saying LF had "quit" or "shut it down" after the Auburn game

they have been wanting to say this all season

exactly. It's just ridiculous. Everyone here wanted him to have a big season after a disappointing end to his season last year. And I'm sure Leonard did too. Otherwise he would have shut it down the first couple months of the season to heal, but he played hurt nonetheless and. He sustained a serious injury before the season. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. He tried coming back throughout the season and continued to reinure his ankle. At this point in the season, with nothing rfeal on the line, there is no point in him potentially reinjuring himself again, something he did in the Auburn game and again against Arkansas, when he has the combine coming up in a few months.

Our fans are selfish. They care more about Fournette running for 200 yards in a bowl game than they do about his future. They wouldn't admit it, but quite simply the risk of him playing and reinjuring his ankle far outweighs the reward. Sure, it might have had better optics for him to have waited until after the bowl game to sign with an agent, but realistically, it makes no difference if he is not going to be playing in said bowl game.

100% agree. Will be very disappointing if he's not there. Hope he is. Sends a good message to underclassmen and recruits that he supports his teammates, regardless. Hard to believe how many selfish a-holes on this board don't see that. BS excuses.

well some take any negative comments as an attack towards a player when if they would just take the comment for what it means they would understand it isn't. It's ok for people to be disappointed with LF actions in the last few weeks...doesn't mean they don't love and support the guy.
