We very much still had a shot at the Sugar Bowl going into the UF game. He showed he cared about the team all year by trying his best to go every game he could despite literally never at any point being 100%. frick you people are like children.

You go to your team's game to support your teammates. Why so hard to understand.

And you've said you expect him to be there, so why do you continue to argue a point you don't believe to come to fruition? What if the whole team decided to sit out the bowl game in protest? I know it won't happen, but what if?

Support the team in a meaningless bowl game?

He can do that better by paying for a sideline VIP pass.

I will go as far as saying that ANY player with a good chance of being drafted with nothing else to prove to any NFL scout should not play in a non-playoff bowl game.

The players have already supported their team by allowing the school to make plenty of money off their efforts. No reason to risk it further.

makes no sense to not want a great player to fulfill his obligations if that is their position there is no room for further debate

You're too stupid to even argue with. Continue to be pissed off about something that hasn't and probably won't happen.

Already said I expect him to be there. No fits. Just enjoy watching you and salmon come up with ridiculous excuses for him not being there while we all think he will be

Describe what LSU and his teammates are missing in this regard.

LSU upheld their part of their commitment to LF. Provided him all the tools to succeed and built a team around him to show off his talents. Even this year he was given carries over the better back.

How does LF thank LSU? he quits 2 weeks before end of the season, meaning he is no longer part of the team. How is that a positive for LSU? Is it good for recruiting to see a guy not remain on the team for 2 extra weeks? Is it good for his team mates to see him dump them 2 weeks before the end? Does loyalty to his team mates, LSU, and his fans mean anything?

I haven't come up with a single excuse. I'm confused as to what the discussion is even about at this point. You're basically calling him selfish for something he hasn't done. I'm saying he's proven several times this year alone to be anything but selfish and if he has something else to tend to in lieu of going to Orlando for a meaningless game he wouldn't play in anyway, I won't lose any sleep of it. You and I know nothing about the relationships he has with his teammates (though we can venture a guess they're largely positive) and to assume he'd be stabbing them in the back or some other melodramatic take you'll likely throw out if he doesn't make the trip, is just silly and shows it's really all just about you and your pathetic pride.

Which are? And again...be specific.

In what way would Fournette be anything other than a glorified cheerleader to the guys playing on New Year's Eve in Orlando?

And just an open question to all...do ALL fanbases eat their fricking own with as much eagerness as ours does? This might actually be the best yet...tearing into a guy that will be seen as nothing short of a legend here...because he's hurt, sits out of a bowl game and MAY NOT travel with the team as a current player. Gather 'round future recruits and hear tell of how much we love our players!!!

A game against an SEC rival with a chance to make it to the Sugar still in the balance absolutely means more than the Citrus Bowl. That is correct.

Dear God. All I've ever said is he should be at the bowl game to support the team. Wtf?

You just made an excuse after asking me for an example!? Are you stupid?

why don't you be specific for once. I feel LSU has done more for LF than he has done for LSU so staying a part of a team he committed to for 2 weeks isn't too much to ask.

do leaders abandon their team mates?

The media does this because controversy means clicks and ratings, which means more profits.

Some posters changed their views because complaining is good catharsis. Especially when there's nothing for them to lose.

Not if he's doing what's in HIS best interests....something you people have clearly stated he is right in doing.

How is this statement even in response to what you quoted? Lol. The guy who can't even think is trying to get in on the action. Cute.

Bahahahaha. All bleh.

LF could have sat out this year if he wanted and still be drafted.

LF played every game he could during the regular season. He made LSU plenty of money as a showcase player.

So true, I don't blame for not playing but he should have gone to support the team!

But why can't he go? Don't teams often have past players on the sidelines at bowl games? Why would he be any different?
