I played at West Monroe and won a state championship and moved to California where I was an All-American before tearing my knee up my first game, senior year. I taped it up, braced it up and played the rest of football and basketball and earned a scholarship to UCLA. I know what a REAL injury is, including high ankle sprains.

Im not some un-athletic frick face bashing kids on a forum.

Sweet. So maybe a tutor told you to read and comprehend before responding. Nobody coming down on him for not playing, just not possibly showing up for the game to support the team. Which is still in question. We all hope he's there.

ETA: and congrats on your "career"

When someone says "Quit on the team", its not referring to showing up to root for the team, ya jackass. You know damned well what he was referring to when he said "quit". My reading comprehension is just fine.

Can anyone explain why I, as a fan, should be bothered by Fournettes decision to forgo his eligibility and sign with an agent before the bowl game (and his potential decision not to attend the game)? I don't really see why people are bothered by this. It's between fournette and his teammates.

You won't get an answer.

Then he needs to quit being so damned remedial and word his statements better. "He is being a poor teammate for not showing up for the game", etc.

What the frick does "quitting" have to do with not showing up? It has nothing at all to do with him being a poor teammate. If he doesn't show up then thats exactly what he is being. Thats not the same as quitting though cupcake.

This is the most concise argument I've heard to date on this.

An SEC game with the chance for the sugar bowl was totally worth playing in. If he could. This bowl is literally the most unimportant game ever.

I don't think anyone has an issue with him sitting out if not 100%.

The signing with an agent and skipping the bowl game as a supporter of his teammates is fair to discuss.

It's not a huge deal. But if you ask me would I rather he be there and waited 10 days to sign with an agent? I would.

I don't think it's that big a deal though.

Nice try. Digging your way out just like that loser LSU2006. Poor teammate, quiting, call it whatever you want. The thread was about him not traveling with the team to support the team even if he's not playing. That's it. Now go back to sniffing your own high school jock strap.

Thats funny you fricking dip shite.

"Why has the media and some posters here changed the view of Fournette sitting out? I mean the guy has been battling the high ankle sprain all year. It wasn't likely he was gonna play in the bowl anyways due to his condition. "

That is the thread's original post. What fricking part of that has to do with not travelling with the team again? You are remedial. Period kid. At no point was him sitting out even mentioned. That's the context I reply in.

News flash though ya frick. Quitting has to do with playing. Not going to the game has to do with being a poor teammate. See the difference or are you unable to comprehend frick stick.

Only you idiots would think anyone is actually bothered by it to a degree that it affects what I'm doing tonight. You people seem equally agitated for the record.

Of which there is no tangible evidence is the case, so why are you still talking? Or are you just arguing hypotheticals because you're that bored?

Idiocy of the highest order, no question.

From the second he said, "the university of..." and temporarily scared the shite out of all of us all the way through his saying he was going pro last week, Leonard has literally said and done all of the right things by LSU.

He's gone to class and will graduate in three years, has worked his arse of physically as well and played through pain on many occasions.

The man has kept to his word and provided for LSU and its fans, but now's the time for him to think of himself first and the next step (and one he's worked for all his life): the NFL. He doesn't owe anybody shite at this point, and those who think he does are delusional, selfish, or both.

There is nothing to be upset with LF about during his LSU career or right now or next week.

I'd imagine the correlation between those complaining about traveling with the team and how unhappy those folks are with things in general is pretty strong.

Because it should not be HIS decision. He is an LSU football player. He is a member of the LSU football team. The COACH makes these decisions, not the players.
LF7 quit his team and his teammates. He is a disgrace!

It was his coaches decision as well or did you not read articles / watch the video?

it was Orgeron's decision...
“I want to send a special thanks to Leonard Fournette and his entire family for what he has done for the LSU family,” Orgeron said. “Growing up, Leonard wanted to be a LSU Tiger. He bled purple and gold. His senior year (of high school) he was the No. 1 player in the nation and he chose to play football in his home state at LSU, and for that, as a representative of the Tiger family, we are grateful.

“We are grateful for all the years that Leonard gave us, all the great memories, and all the great games. One of the most dominating performances I’ve ever seen as a coach were his against Auburn (in 2015) and Ole Miss this year. But more than that, Leonard is on track to graduate in May. Leonard was a great teammate, he came to work every day and he was a joy to coach. The players love him, little kids across the country love him and want to be like him.”

“First of all I’d like to thank God for giving me this opportunity and also Coach ‘O’ (Orgeron) and LSU for the decision to not let me play, because it is the best for my future,
