I doubt it gets moved to BR as great as it would be for LSU. I also doubt this game gets played in Colombia the way things are going. Charlotte or Atlanta.

That doesn't say "state of emergency equals blanket school closures"

It says if the government determines the school needs to be closed, then they gave to abide by that choice.

A state of emergency doesn't do anything by itself.

It's a beaurcratic step that gives them powers and options that they don't ordinarily have.

I highly doubt any of that has crossed anyones mind that makes the decisions.

I disagree to an extent. I don't think they would go out of their way to give us preferential treatment this weekend. However, you can bet that they aren't going to try to squeeze a game in at some other time, or shuffle things around in such a way that would put us at a disadvantage later in the season. This is likely moot anyway, since our byes don't line up, but still. You can bet money that this game is happening this weekend, even if it isn't in Columbia.

They can't squeeze it in some other time. It simply isn't possible. It will be played somewhere this weekend.

Wat?

I'm the one in here arguing that this isn't as bad as it's being made to sound in this thread.

How is that a Debbie Downer? Do you even know what that means?

Or is the "positive" outlook I'm pissing on is the chance that Columbia is all kinds of fricked up a week later so LSU gets a game at home.

Because that's what it's reading like considering it's mostly BR based people talking about a move as opposed to people in Columbia, and how these people are trying to equate this to Katrina so they have a precedent to that outcome.

Well SC plays @A&M the day of our bye, so that's not happening. Try another conspiracy.

Just people having fun trying to brainstorm alternative venues and scenarios and whatnot. Nothing serious.

Damn. You people need to lighten up.

Let's consider the possibility of playing USCe in Athens...

If I was planning in traveling to game the part that would concern me is Columbia now has a boil water in effect. They say it may be for 3-4 days.

I would prefer they just move location rather than change the date. That means LSU will lose a bye week or have to play 2 games in the same week with one (or both) being on the road. With this kind of notice, just move locations. Come to LSU or find a neutral site.

They can't change the date. If they can't play Saturday I don't see how they could play on Sunday or Monday either.
