I'm equally amused by your contention that my sources contradict me when the only source I quoted was the University of South Carolina, which continues to state the exact same as I previously quoted on their website, updated today at 3:15 pm.
quote:
As a state agency, the University must follow the delay and closing determinations of Richland County Government.
Well, yeah....the site is consistent with itself.
That doesn't change that you brought them up as some kind of evidence that a state of emergency declaration automatically means all schools close for the duration of the declaration.
Also doesn't change that you dug your heels in and said that I was using my imagination to say that the part you quoted said that "they will be forced to abide with determinations of the state regarding when the school opens," which is almost a verbatim paraphrase of the part you are still proudly quoting.
And speaking of imagining things, please do us all a favor and quote where I said that the state couldn't tell them to close, or contradicted anything what was quoted in this thread from their site.
All this is from you getting your panties in a bunch from being corrected that a state of emergency doesn't close anything by itself.
It's
1) state of emergency
2) decide what to do next as the situation demands
