I don't think so. 5'10" and 165 or so seems pretty right for me. Still toning but no handles and only a small amount of stomach fat.

I do some machines when I am in Savannah. Nothing in Atl. I was a member at the Y, but dropped it because I was not ever going. So, to answer the question, I think about it, but that's as far as it gets.

I've had a pretty bad month, from around the time of Halloween up through Thanksgiving with regards to my Diet. Decided it was time to start tracking my calories like I'm supposed to again. My calorie calculator has me at just under 2500 calories per day which it says should have me losing about .5 lb / wk. I figure at almost maintenance calories I should be able to continue with my noobish gains in the weight room and get me closer to my goals.

If you mainly do some light stuff on machines you should maybe join Planet Fitness. It catches a lot of flak but they have some really good machine equipment and its only 10 bucks a month. I have a membership at the Y on the Island but also Planet Fitness because it is about a mile from my work so I have to pass it everyday and feel guilty if I just drive by. I know its not very convenient for you living on the island but if you get the 20 dollar membership you could also use the locations in Atlanta.

By the way do you ever come across any Tropicalia IPA in Atlanta? If you could pick me up some I could pay you extra or maybe hook you up with something hard to find.

Thanks. I never thought I would enjoy running, but it seems I've reached that point. I feel weird if I don't run at least once per day. Rain or shine, I'm pounding the pavement.

I hate running while I am doing it but I get a hell of an endorphin rush when I finish!

There's 836 pages of advice and motivation!

Seriously though, you'll find that a lot of us in this thread do things completely different, but we all have pretty good discussion and the support is awesome. If there's anything specific you want to know, ask away.

My advice is to simply use a food logger. Be it a journal, or something like Myfitnesspal you need to log everything you eat, so that you know how much you really are eating...being more accurate will help you achieve your goals faster, so I suggest getting a food scale and weigh everything you eat if you can. It's tedious, but it works! To add on to that point, if your goal is to only lose 15 pounds you're gonna already have a tougher time than most because you don't have as much to lose, so tracking everything will be that much more important, in my opinion.

Welcome to the thread, and good luck on achieving your goals!

I created a spreadsheet to track my food intake and exercise. I like it better than the fitness apps.

I set a goal for 90 days and work towards it. That works better for me instead of an open-ended goal.

Been a good week. I feel like I've got those sweet cravings out of my system finally, or at the very least have the willpower to not indulge like I have been recently. Now just gotta build on that momentum. Although I did drink my dinner last night, but totally worth it.

Let me just say, as a somewhat recently divorced guy and former fatass that got no attention from ladies, the world is my damn play thing right now and it's pretty fricking awesome. Confidence level = 15/10 right now Happy Monday~
