What to do with truck with bad transmission? - nolaks
Truck is an 06 with 163K miles, trans just went out. I've owned it since 09, planned to drive it indefinitely. Cared well for it, all synthetic, planned maintenance, etc. That said with this mileage, trade in is only $8k without trans issue. Trans repair is $4,500. If I want to get rid of it, ho...

re: What brand of diaphragm calls do you use for Turkey Hunting? - nolaks
i like the headcrusher calls, I have no idea why being good on a box or a pot would be more important than being good on a mouth call. I think as long as you can call well on one call, regardless of style, you are good. I like knowing I can have both my hands on my gun and still talk to the bird....

re: Anybody on here ever had testicular cancer? - nolaks
have it right now, had surgery two weeks ago. Like most people said, I found a lil different feeling, went from feeling like a grape to feeling like an egg with the shell on (not size diff, just diff in consistency, ie hard vs soft). Had ultrasound, identified tumor. Had surgery, cut nut out (I w...

re: How much pork to mix in for duck sausage? - nolaks
yeah it is, I cleaned 19 big ducks this year and came up with exactly 4# boned. In 3,2,1, speculation on: a) if I was one over the limit to get to 19 b) was I over the possession limits c) what I consider big ducks d) comments on how I'm wasting the necks or whatever by not plucking ...

re: Tips on finding deer sheds - nolaks
i used to not find them at all, I couldn't understand how people found them. then I got a lil older, slowed down, and looked in the right spots. I think I found 5 plus an arrowhead on one hunt in MS last year. Its really just about looking at the ground. In Montana and Texas, I've found them with...

re: Webster Parish Giant Buck Down - nolaks
symmetry wise he's way off, and might as well not have brow tines, other than getting another mass measurement, of which he has lots (mass). Personally I think its a beautiful deer, but its not wide. I'd say 142 ish. the mass could push it more, but the bases really don't look very big. ...
