The holidays have been really bad. Way too much beer and food and I have really slacked off from the gym the past month. I am scared to even get on the scale. I think I am going to wait until the end of January.

so glad the holidays are over and the constant barrage of junk will be gone from work and home. Time to settle back down and get to some normalcy both with my diet and in the gym. Been drinking a good bit the last few weeks + eating carbs all last week which has bloated me up a good bit. I expect to be back around 205 by the end of the week if all goes how I think it will.

the first couple pounds of excess should drop out easy. I was down two pounds after a good workout this morning. Of course, I ate chinese last night so I will be retaining water for a week.

It's bad but could have been much worse.

Yes, I see they compare it to WeightWatchers.
All of past WWs say it is great and a lot cheaper.
It only cost me $29 for the year.

I tried LoseIt, but I couldn't stick with it. Half the stuff I eat isn't on the food list, so I would have to guess at calories.

I made a spreadsheet with columns for weight, food intake, exercise, etc. I've had better success with this. I am willing to share if anyone wants it.

Counting calories is a PITA.

I guess it didn't take as long as I expected...although to be fair there's a good chance that tomorrow could bump back up to 207ish or so. I didn't really eat dinner last night, just a protein shake after the gym...we'll see.

If you don't like counting calories you could always count for a week and then just eat the same stuff for a while.
For example I eat the same breakfast and lunch and then my dinner is always some meat paired with some veggie side dish. Helped me slowly lose weight throughout football season.

Eta: another thing that's really helped me is reading someone saying to feel American hungry. It's America. You know you'll have something to eat in a couple of hours so don't stuff your face every sitting.

1. I was actually saying "you've got this thing!" as in you will make your goal!

2. That said, I'm interested in the program. I lost all my weight doing WW and now that I've hit my goal, I am sticking with it. $20/month is worth it to me to keep me from going back to fat world.

Oh I definitely want it. I might let you hold it for me so I am not tempted though.

I posted this on the Outdoor Board, but thought I'd ask here too in case anyone has any insights.

I am looking to get a watch for running and cycling. I don't care much about wearing it while swimming at this point.

The Garmin 910XT triathlon edition looks great, but I am wondering if there is one that is equivalent but without the water needs. Thus making it less expensive.

TIA

P.S. Mouton, do you want this Tropicalia or not. I'm not a beer storage facility.
