I don't have any more exercise vs diet fight in me. What works for each person is different. I'm tired of trying to explain how one is a good bit easier than both. Oh wait maybe I am not quite done.

If you find it that hard to do both then fine. Especially if you are mainly concerned with the number on the scale as opposed to body composition. If you diet for an extended period without some form of resistance training you will lose large amounts of lean mass alOng with fat.

Temptation time. About to head out to get the damn donuts.

Scale moving in the right direction. Back in Ketosis so hunger issues have somewhat subsided but sitting in a car with hot donuts might test my patience and willpower a bit.

I hate these weekend shifts. I have to get up at 5am.. but all during the week I don't go to bed til 1-2AM. So even with a sleeping pill, I'm not sleeping until 11pm-12am and dont get enough sleep.. tired all day

Understood, I started last week waking up at 2:30-3:00 and hitting gym for 3:30-4:00 and getting an hour and half in before work. Since I started waking up early I noticed I'm going to sleep at 8/9 now vs 11/12 before though. Other day I was out before 8

Saturday was suppossed to be my cheat day but I kept waking up in the middle of the night thinking about sweets and felt a change of plans needed to be made. From the research ive done a cheat or refeed day is really beneficial if you keeP fat really low and carbs high. Im about to get some skinny cow desserts but I'm really craving taco bell!! Oh well.

My friend thinks cheat days are all you can eat fests. He diets well during the week but when he cheats he goes all out. He stays in good shape but you can tell he could use some work. Especially in the mid section. I've always been of the mind set that I can cheat, but I keep it under control. Still pay attention to what I'm eating. And I only think cheat days should be done when you are disciplined enough to not cheat during your non cheat days.

And I also agree with your earlier post. Proper diet is great and will cause weight loss, however over time body composition will still look bad. I've always been a big fan of the mirror test because I know the importance of lifting weights/exercise. So I still believe diet=75-80%, exercise=25-20%

ETA: For those who use protein powder, an awesome snack I used last night was taking a scoop and mixing just a little bit of water with it in a bowl until it was a pudding like consistency. I ate it just like that. Protein pudding. I've heard it's even better after being in the freezer for 30 minutes or so
