Dinner Re-cap.

Really enjoyed the evening. Good food, good service, good atmosphere.

Well done Chef Link and Co.

Dinner: We shared most everything.

Dozen Oysters (real Good, clean, cold, tasty)
Steak Tartar (excellent, the oyster aioli really added something, but it hardly tasted like tartar)
Baked redfish (with a salsa verde-was one of the specials, cooked perfectly, tasted great)
brussels sprouts w/ chili vinegar (they didn't seem fried, they had tons of flavor and were excellent)

I had the salted caramel cake and my guest had the Pineapple/Rum cake. I liked the Pineapple/Rum cake better, it was NOT lacking for RUM (15-yr old rum at that).

I had 3 Gnarly Barley Korova milk Porters and my guest had 2 Parish Canebrakes. They have a great beer selection.

It was a very satisfying meal. Will go back and be a little more adventuresome.

The steak tartare is the best thing I've had there.

The absolute best item I've had on the actual menu is the beef tartare, and I was completely shocked by this.. as I often find tartare to be boring.

I have no idea what they do with that sucker, but it might be the best piece of food I've ever put in my mouth.

Seriously. I strongly encourage it.

Beyond that, get everything offered by the raw bar.

There literally is nothing on the menu that I would steer anyone away from, although the beer tartare sounds interesting.

Its on my regular rotation and I cant quit. Sucks because I spend too much $ there!

Honestly, everyone is right. Cant go wrong. My favorite app, ans one that I order everytime is the Chicken & White BBQ. There is no reason why its so good, but it is. I concur on Spicy shrimp n noodles... Curry Mussels are outstanding, but were not on the menu friday. Get the baked cabbage if its the special side.

Whole fish special was this flounder friday... It was great.

That looks delicious, Boss, but it doesn't look like flounder.

Its likely the oyster aioli, it adds a lot to that dish in way of savoriness.

I take it the first pic was the spiced lamb from Butcher?

That flounder has caused me to salivate.

Related question, We will be there next week. Can you just walk in and find a place at the bar to eat on a week night....Wed or Thurs? Or should I get reservations?

I'd get reservations but you can walk in right when they open and be seated no problem.
