It's decent but I prefer White Wedding.

Been several years since I had it. Seems like it was a little sharp?

Had some Old Charter this weekend, easily my favorite cheap bourbon now. I prefer it to Evan or Ancient Age.

Benchmark shits on old charter

They are same recipe, Charter is just older. Best "Cheap Bourbon" reference available on the web, the Buffalo Trace Family Tree.

My preferences:
Sub $20- Ancient Age
Sub $30- WL Weller 12 year

Bumping this thread. I like Old Charter and I'm down to the last bottle. It hasn't been sold in my area in well over a month and it could be longer before it shows up again according to my liquor store.

I like the taste of Charter, so I'm looking for a bourbon with a similar taste, not the cheapest, not the best, just a similar flavor.

Funny you post this Gris. It's been getting sparce around home. Heading back in on 1-20 so I just pulled in the Delta La Cheveron gas station, Mississipian lotto head quarters and liquor emporium in Delta La to buy a case of Old Charter. They had nary a bottle. It's already been raided. Vinaquisha had no idea when any more would be in. FML. F all OLs.

I bought some Buffalo Trace. $38 a handless handle. 10 bucks more than the OC8 would have been.
