It's a ruse that hopefully Balls will call them out on. 12 and 10 yr old Charter went by the wayside when ran out and couldn't/ wouldn't wait for that long aging process to re-supply. Only thing left was 8 year old Charter and now iit's gone forever. Shelves will soon be re-stocked but instead of labeled 8 yr old will be labeled 8 seasons old. New season is 6 months so will be 4 year old Charter. When demand keeps clearing shelves seasons will be down to a month or a week for Charter 8 for those thinking 8 means 8 years old unless Balls demands truth in labeling.

I just bought a handless handle of Buffalo Trace. I am a Makers Mark guy. BT could not hold MMs jock strap. But it was a lot cheaper ....

That's the concern my liquor store expressed.

Is MM better? Yes. But when picking a mixer, price is a huge factor. This is why BT is my mixer of choice. I don't bother with MM anymore due to its price: it's too expensive as a mixer and not good enough as a sipper. I prefer Eagle Rare and Woodford Reserve for my sippers. They are superior to MM

That EC12 you posted is pretty solid. Adam always makes great picks.

I bought the last two half gallons in Virginia a few months back. The state run ABC commies will not be selling it anymore.

Trader Joe's whiskey is pretty good. About $15 for a fifth.
