Interesting choice of venue. But, there are a lot of paved areas in that section of UNO.

Had to happen. City Park needs to address drainage in the festival grounds.

More than last year. I think it was a slop fest three out of last four years.

Just hope the crowd follows them to UNO. That area has garnered a reputation of not being able to produce decent crowds. Maybe Hogs will break the jinx.

Its an interesting question but remember the Pope drew 110,000 people to that site (granted different time and event).

Our number one goal was finding a space that could help all of our teams thrive. We think UNO fields does that. If we invest in our teams, the patrons will follow.

UNO Arena is approx. 4 miles from City Park, it has parking adjacent to the site for 7,000 cars give or take, if folks arent willing to "travel" that far, should be easier to get a beer!

I love the cause, and was at the first hogs, but as a fiscally responsible individual I wondered what had occurred last year when public property was literally trashed by the event. I assume public funding was responsible for the clean up.

Do you think Hogs used the City Park grounds for free? What type of clean up do you think was required? Your assumption is wrong.

if it rains like it did last year and in years past, it really doenst matter where you have it. Unless its on concrete its gonna be sloppy.

If rain is an unrelenting issue, why don't they move it to a more dry time of the year?

Hogs will do well there. The teams bring out a ton of people on their own. Those people will still come at a new venue. If we don't have to worry about drainage, we will bring more than years past. Might lose some of the casual fans, but way too dependent on good weather at city park for those people to show anyhow.

Stoked about the better drainage, easier vehicle access to grounds, much more parking, more lights and water. I think the event will run much smoother. Now if BO can simply not bring the rain with him, we will be perfect.

I have no delusions that the 501c3 used the park for free. I'd love to be privy to the details of the transaction, why don't you elaborate NOFOX. I wasn't angered by how HOGS used the grounds. I did assume that the overall net effect of the event on city park was a financial loss after all necessary grounds repairs were completed. As such, I was upset with City Park, not HOGS. Perhaps I'm wrong, please enlighten me.
