Need some recs for food while down there. It's for a bachelor party & 12 guys rented a beach house. So for the recs we want good food but maybe not fine dining because we will all deep into drinking by dinner and headed out after that. Places we can enjoy ourselves but still eat good food

Yes

Can't imagine why I didn't add FloraBama. I guess I just did.

Wolf Bay sems a little upscale to me, as does TinTop, but maybe they need one fine dining experience and those two would meet that.

Seriously - sitting on the patio at TinTop with cold beers and raw Oysters is a nice way to spend the evening. Same at a bunch of other places down there. Tacky Jacks has some sort of special every day I think.

Usually a band too - It is actually a good place.

As I recall, they sell an interesting amber colored beverage.

Shrimp Basket and Original Oyster House are pretty good. Lartigue's has fresh takeout seafood that's very good.

Gulf Shores

Is there a sadder place in the south to eat then Gulf Shores? Everytime I go to GS or even Destin, I am continually let down. I find doing a big group cookout is usually the way to go.

If your place has a big grill, that may be a good cheap option. You can easily throw burgers or steaks on, and be done without trying to fit 12 guys into a mediocre restaurant.

Grill for a bachelor party is unquestionably the best bet. Catch you some shite channel fish and grill em whole too.

We found a good seafood market on the road going to the west end of the point. You could bake most of it, or just fry shrimp. Probably more fun to just do it yourself. Or, order a dozen burgers to go from lulus.

Not worth a damn, imo.

ETA: Doc's Seafood on the Orange Beach end of Canal Road is good.

There are a lot of new restaurants. The tourist traps suck hard. You have to get off the beaten path.

I recommend The Gulf
Tin Top
Papa Rocas
Complete Angler at the Wharf good sandwiches and great beer specials
Cosmos
Crico's has great pizza
Moes has great smoked chicken wings
Pink Pony
Lartigues for seafood to go. Great smoked tuna dip as well.
S & S Seafood market on West Beach

Go to bar at cobalt for happy hour from 3:30 to 5:30

50 cent oysters
$1 draft beer
$5 appetizers

Better than anything that's been listed
