re: Chandelier Islands Fishing - stoms
Well if big trout is what you're after, that's probably the right choice. Half the fun of Chandy is the adventure. Good luck out there ...

re: Chandelier Islands Fishing - stoms
This is just my 2 cents but I think Chandy is overrated considering how much remote Biloxi Marsh you have to pass to get out there. 3 years ago me & my dad got sick of the boat traffic at IAP and basically picked a big square of interior marsh to the west and made it our goal to learn it. Last year ...

re: Chandelier Islands Fishing - stoms
Haven't fished Chandy this year yet but it's a haul. It's not that bad though if it's flat. The last time I went out there last year, it was flat on the way out and 2-3 foot seas the way back. That's a long shitty ride in a 22ft bay boat. My favorite area is between the break in the island south...

re: Who would you like to see at QB this fall? - stoms
I think Fitz is a safe play for another bowl but not winning anything significant. He's not currently the kind of mature leader we need. Damien Williams can transfer. He sucks. The way he acted when Bob said his beard looked like Dragon Ball Z makes me think it's his fault Dak got jumped in PCB. ...

Best LA Kayak Fishing/Lodging Setup - stoms
Stayed at Moran's in Fouchon just because it was central to GI or Leeville. Enjoyed the location but was interested in the OB's opinion of other options, particularly places where you can launch from where you're staying. Any input is appreciated but places like PAC marina, Sweetwater in Delacroix, ...

re: Weekend Results Thread 6/24 - 6/26 - stoms
East Biloxi marsh. Me and fishing buddy had only a few hours so we fished to 10am. Caught about 60 trout with only 6 legal. Moved to a pond and caught 6 reds. I've caught more undersized trout this summer than I ever have in my life. [img]http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc473/stoms31/Mobile%2...

re: Paging Gaston - Bay St. Louis Related - stoms
Scraping the coast won't effect the PC/BSL side much. I'll be down this afternoon and in BSL for dinner. Hopefully the wind won't be bad tomorrow so we can get to the marsh ...

re: LA Fish Blog podcast w/ bluemoons - stoms
I've always enjoyed the videos you post here and I've been listening to that podcast since it came out. There was so much on there I can relate to. Everything you said about a fishing partner was dead on. I fish with my dad most the time and we bounce ideas off each other, and like you said, sometim...

LA Fish Blog podcast w/ bluemoons - stoms
Or at least I think it's bluemoons... I gotta say this is one of the best fishing podcast I've heard. I caught myself chuckling in the truck because so much was relatable. Particularly taking friends fishing who don't fish much. They just assume you slay every time. Great stuff https://itunes.app...

re: Kayak upgrades/help - stoms
The best accessory upgrade you could possibly make is a Cajun anchor. I made one out of PVC. About 5 ft long. Drilled a hole in the top and attached a rope. Used a small hack saw to get a point on the other end. Rarely use and anchor anymore. That's the best thing you can do to your current setup. ...

re: hooks for live shrimp - stoms
I use 3/0 Khale b/c it's a good medium for catching reds and trout. I keep 1/0 in the box if I'm reef fishing and get in to small fish like white trout or ground mullet. If I find trout I'm picking up a setup with plastic so it doesn't really matter if the 3/0 is a hair too big. ...

re: Where to buy Acme Little Cleo gold spoon? - stoms
Well if you're in a jam, they usually have faster shipping options (more expensive though). Don't think google earth is going to help you. Here is a link to Bp's offerings http://m.basspro.com/Acme-Little-Cleo-Spoon/product/14081607120112/?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions...

Im assuming you're talking about Gulfport, MS. A lot of people fish around the rocks and pier at the end of Courthouse road where it runs out into Hwy 90. Throw shrimp on the bottom and you'll find something to pull your line. ...

re: Shimano Stradic Ci4+ on Sale - stoms
If you use braid, it really doesn't matter if you go 2500 or 3000. If you're a mono guy, go 3000 b/c the spool is a bit bigger. Same reel though ...
