Thanks, that was the gameplan. Was just worried that it would get mushy if frozen.

It freezes and reheats just fine in my experience.

Reheat by putting the freezer bag in simmering water. Sort of a sous vide reheat.

Open it up, and it will be like hot off the smoker.

If you have one that is fine, but not necessary.

Put it in a zip lock bag, squeeze out the air and freeze it. It will keep fine that way for three months.

If you have any, add some broth over the top or chicken broth. The liquid will help a lot. I have mixed a little water with BBQ sauce and poured it over pulled pork, but mostly just squeeze out the air, seal the zip lock bag and into the freezer.

If you add liquid, you can drain it off when you reheat it.

Going in the freezer right now. This is good to know as I always end up with extra as it is just me and my husband. Thanks everyone!

Vacuum seal.

Put in a pot and hot water.

Cut open and eat.

Giving my husband these directions, unfortunately he is lost in the kitchen.

Do it all the time. Bring it back to heat slowly in a crockpot.

I do this all the time. Every time I go back to SC I bring back pounds and pounds of bbq from my favorite spot. Vacuum seal 2 lbs each, and just place unopened in simmering water until hit. It's almost like I just ordered it from the counter.

Same with a brisket. I freeze it in pint bags which is perfect size for my kid to make three tacos.

I prefer to leave it in big chunks and shred it after it has been reheated.
