re: New Feral Hog Poison Approved by EPA - unclejhim
I just spoke with the folks at Kaput. The bait is a Warfarin poison. While they do have approval from EPA they do not have the product in the field in any states. She said it would probably be late summer to fall before the product clears all legalities for state approval. It does require a special...

re: question about lost deer...dead not found. - unclejhim
Thanks.. The shooter decided to leave the meat and I agree with him. It was a shame to loose the deer. It was shot right at end of the day and had no exit wound. The deer fell into a vine covered ravine and with no blood trail it was pure luck it was found. ...

A camp member found an 8 pt. he shot last night about noon today. Lease is near Sillman. He was afraid to keep the meat so he cut the head off and left the deer for the yotes. I don't blames him but I noticed that the meat on the neck was still cool with no smell. He did open the belly and no foul...

re: Does anyone on the FDB dabble in making your own sausage? - unclejhim
I've been making my own sausage and bacon for a few years now. Like the other poster said. get a good grinder and sausage stuffer. You can stuff with a grinder but I find it easier to use the stuffer. Nice thing about having a grinder is you can make your own ground beef for burgers, ...much better ...
