Understatement.

Racer 5 is so damn good that I'm sure their other offerings we don't get here are pretty awesome.

I imagine we'll see some of this in Louisiana.

If not I'll see what I can do at Spec's for you all.

I saw that... interesting concept.

I also tried a Gingerbread Stout from the new one in Houston over the weekend. Not bad at all. Buffalo Bayou Brewing is their name.

Love Bear Republic. Hop Rod is one of my absolute favorite beers of all time.

Will be nice when they all start bottling/canning

I'm too far away to go to bars there

Speaking of Houston Beer, the beer festival this year is April 28th in downtown. Looking forward to that.

I went to Karbach for their open house/tour on Saturday, really nice new place. Same deal as Saint Arnold & No Label... just pay for the "tour" and you get 4 tastings.

Really?

It's the best thing they've got going at the chimes.

A hopitoulas afterwards will disappoint.

I'm not a huge fan either. There are quite a few really good double IPAs out there, too.

I'd never refuse trying one more new beer though

I've had Racer X on tap a couple years ago. Damn good! But I'd put Oscar Blues Gubna up there with it. And when St. Arnolds releases Endeavour, that will be the one to beat.

Karbach had a canning line in... same one that NOLA and Tin Roof have over here. Those things do not have a high volume unfortunately and Karbach has a fermenting capacity 4 or 5 times as much as Tin Roof.

Yes, Divine Reserve 11 was pretty dang good but between Gubna and Divine Reserve I think they're a little too malty. I'm hoping for a pliny like lightness from a DIPA.

Thats not saying much. I usually dont go out in br.

I like hopitoulas better than racer 5.
