Taste in beer (or anything else) is of course purely subjective and you like what you like, but I don't think Hop Rising is nearly as good as Racer 5.

Anyone get any Hopslam before it ran out?

Just got another 12pk. They are still distributing it. Most places aren't even getting their shipment of it until 2 week of Feb. This years batch is awesome. I got a 6pk first week of Jan.

If you like hops get your hands on Three Floyds Dreadnaught, or Founders Devil Dancer

But probably my favorite IPA has to Alesmith IPA. Come to think of it, I never had anything bad from Alesmith.

Enjoy it my friend, it is a real treat. I was fortunate enough to make it to a Barrel Aged Speedway release a few years ago when I had a good friend that lived in La Jolla and Pete and crew were awesome. I picked up 6 bottles of Yulesmith Summer and that is a kick arse IPA too

I love some Alesmith. Had a great time there last April. Speedway Stout is absolutely worth all the praise it receives.

Was also really impressed with Hess, right around the corner from Alesmith

I love visiting SD. great weather, great beer

Didn't make it to Hess, but I did go to Pizza Port and Karl Straus. But agree, SD has an awesome beer scene. Toss up for me on who is my favorite breweries, FFF and Alesmith, but New Glaurs in Wisconsin is up there two. Too many to pick just my top though

Really?

It's the best thing they've got going at the chimes.

A hopitoulas afterwards will disappoint.
I guess I'm one of the few who enjoys a hopitoulas more than a racer 5

And when St. Arnolds releases Endeavour, that will be the one to beat.
I still have a DR11 sitting in my stash. Not sure when I'm going to open that bad boy.

Just did and saw this in the link:

Racer X™ 22oz bottles will be available exclusively at Bear Republic Brewing Company's Pub & Restaurant in Healdsburg, CA on February 10-14th. If you miss it at the pub, look for Racer X™ 22oz limited release bottles throughout Sonoma County and the San Francisco Bay Area.

There's a brewery just down the road from me called Jester King.

They have tastings every Saturday, so I believe we'll be hitting it up this weekend.

Have any of you Austin people been?
