Parking on Dalrymple Closed?

Posted by djoh156 on 9/10/13 at 6:51 pm
Recently just gave into the old folks wisdom and tried this little spot out, just to throw a few casts on my way home after class. In all honesty, and having only stopped there a few times, I probably got the most bass action there than any of the other local spots here around the LSU area.

With that being said, WTF. I went there last Friday and saw that they had closed the parking on the side of the road. I figured it was just for the game so I blew it off and went else wheres. But NOPE. I went back today and it seems that they've shut down the parking for good.

Anybody know anything about this?

I found a post here already on this topic via google, but it was from a few years back. So, does anyone have any info on how I may be able to contact a representative of the LSU fishing team?

Any feedback is appreciated!

I know! I've caught my last few on a Senko! I'm still dumbfounded at how those simple, big, ugly lookin pieces of rubber get so much action!

Pond Stocking & Bass Fishing

Hello all!

I'm fairly new to Baton Rouge and brand new to TigerDroppings, and I can say that I love both already! I also love fishing, any and all, but since I moved here (now broke college student btw), I've taken a stronger interest in bank bass fishing. I've had luck, but it seems to come and go.

Anyways, I'm not trying to pry you all for your spots, but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the states policy on stocking ponds/lakes? As in, some of the nicer kept ponds located by several apartment complexes near LSU's campus (not necessarily the lakes, which I've been fishing). The Cottages is a complex with some nice ponds, just to give an example.

Also, I've just gotten into plastics (used spinner baits my whole life), and mainly fishing them with jigs while using them as a trailer. Sometimes it's good, but it's been bad recently. So, any good tips on good bank fishing techniques (lures, presentation, etc.) would be appreciated as well!

Thanks
