this is true. I have seen his gsp grab 2 mallards, a woodcock, and a quail on one retrieve...never seen a lab do that

No idea, I have fished it before from a kayak and never had any issues.
This is where I got the idea from: Downtown Catfishin, Baton Rouge

Downtown Baton Rouge Boat Launch
Posted by tigerstripedfish69 on 4/30/15 at 8:44 am
Has anyone launched there? I am thinking about putting in my bay boat and running some trot lines in some of the flooded batture ponds.
Besides possibly having your truck broken into or having riverside tow it, is there anything else I should be aware of?

Exactly. I think every high schooler should work for a summer out at a construction site. Gives you all the motivation you need to never go back out there
Had the opposite affect on me. I saw the amount of money that could be made and the opportunity to play with big heavy machinery every day.

A few years ago there was this one Mexican would steal a gatorade out of my ice chest every day. Knowing he needed a life lesson on stealing I got a couple empty blue gatorade bottles, waited for the porta-cans to be cleaned and filled the bottles up with fresh blue porta-can juice, put it on ice, then waited...
A few hours later the mexican went to the back of my truck grabbed an ice cold, "Gatorade" and took a drink and started throwing up.
He never showed back up to work! :usa: :nana:

We had the boat in Houma so it was nothing for us to drive down. If the tournament is a go and the forecast changes for the better we are going to give it a try, if it gets too bad we will turn around and head back in. If we do go I will have my whole crew wearing life vests, wife has a copy of our float plan, ditch bag will be placed in an easily accessible spot, and and i will have my SPOT on me at all times. My crew and I have fished "sporty" weather before and know the risks involved but we will implement all safety precautions necessary to return home safely.

Anyone fishing the Cocodire Wahoo Tournament this weekend?
Posted by tigerstripedfish69 on 2/25/15 at 7:38 am
Weather is looking a little, "Sporty" but the $1,000 entry fee has already been paid, boat is loaded down, fueled up, and we are ready to head down tomorrow morning. Is anyone else heading down in hopes that the forecast is wrong?
