re: Baton Rouge Commercial 90's - Details Details Details

You guys are right, it was Royal Furniture. Does anyone know if those Details Details Details commercials are available online?
No, it wasn't the Furniture man. It was a later period than that. It was a guy who looked like he was mentally challenged and would always do something goofy at the furniture store, and when he would get fussed he would say "Details, Details, Details".
Baton Rouge Commercial 90's - Details Details Details

I remember seeing a bunch of commercials in the 90's for a furniture store in Baton Rouge. It featured a goofy looking fellow, that at the end of the commercial would usually utter the catchphrase, Details, Details, Details...
Anyone know what the commercial was for?

My favorite jerky is Pappy Kershenstine's Beef Jerky hands down. Been eating this one since the 80's.
Mr Poboy = good, Harry's = good, but I prefer Daniel's (Chauvin), Roast Beef Poboys, they have a unique style type of Roast Beef Poboy. I've always found theirs to be unique and awesome, been eating their's since the 80's. By far, the worst Roast Beef poboys in the area, is either Double D in Larose or Blackie's in Lockport. Both are a poor excuse for a Roast Beef Poboy.

We were shopping for a new camper in the area and stumbled upon this place. I can't get a handle on the look of the place, it's very eccentric. In one area, it looks Polynesian, then in another it looks cajun, then another looks elegant. It's a very weird vibe. The menu is all over the place, they have everything from Crawfish pie appetizers, Sushi, Italian, Chinese food, Cajun food, etc. Their menu goes all over the place. But the prices are decent.
I had the fried Catfish poboy, my wife had the shrimp poboy, and my granddaughter had the Kid's menu Chicken nuggets. Everything was awesome, the Shrimp and Catfish were fried to perfection, they were golden and delicious. My granddaughter's chicken nuggets were not the frozen type you get from other restaurants, these were from fresh chicken breasts and were awesome.
The only negative... the waiter wasn't that great. But all in all, I can't wait to go back...

Chateau De Bayou - Cut Off area

Has anyone on the board ever eaten here? I work in the area and can't go eat lunch out but when passing by I see fewer and fewer vehicles there for lunchtime, while other places in the area (Balcony, B&E, etc.) are packed. I know they closed and reopened with a new menu, but it doesn't look it's working too well. The owner has deep pockets and put a lot of money in the place so what's the problem? Has anyone on here eaten there, if so, what's your opinion.
re: Zatarin's Olives taste differently now?

It was just a question I've been curious about, and thought that since just about everyone on here is from Louisiana that someone would know if something changed or if noticed a change.

I did, to post this and other posts. I was curious... I noticed the difference right after Katrina. I didn't know that it was a stupid topic. Who else would know except locals down here? Excuse me, I've been reading this board for a long time and sorry you think a question like this is stupid.
Zatarin's Olives taste differently now?
Posted by abitaman on 4/4/13 at 8:33 pm
I've been a fan of Zatarin's Olives since I've been a kid. But in the last few years I've noticed that the taste changed. They seem to more bitter and not as flavorful as they used to be. Does anyone else notice the difference? If so, does anyone know if they changed something about them?
