re: Chattooga HS students walk out of class, protesting return to 5-day school week

I'd be ok with 4 day school weeks if kids are getting no summer vacation. The 180 day school year is so far behind the times. We should be at 220 at minimum. But I could understand 208 in the short term.

Good luck proving that
That right there is why this suit may actually go somewhere. This opens up the league and the officials to having every embarrassing thing ever put in a text message or email coming to light. It won't change the fact that the rams will be in the super bowl but maybe some noticeable changes will come from this. And if the officials are fired and anyone else responsible is axed, maybe the NFL will have some kind of credibility as a sport again, and not just some over-hyped entertainment show.

"Because the officials on the field are humans, like the players and coaches, errors will happen," the league's lawyers wrote. "The NFL parties do not dispute that they have previously advised the Saints, including the club’s head coach, that one or more penalties — for pass interference or illegal helmet-to-helmet contact — were mistakenly not called late in the NFC Championship Game, and that the NFL would like its officials on the field to make these calls.
This is the problem these days with society. There is no accountability by anyone. Oops it was a horrendously bad call better luck next time. It's no ones fault mistakes happen. If I screwed up in my job that bad I'd be kicking rocks. If these officials are not fired for incompetence the league might as well admit that the game is rigged.
I had been done with the NFL for a few years following many silly rule changes that have taken alot of fun out of the game. But with the saints run this year I came back and gave it a chance. But I'm over it. College is the only football worth watching anymore.

I've been living in the area for about a year now and love it. The bars on waterway and market street are pretty nice. Baker Street is usually a lot of fun with a younger crowd. Crush and Cru are pretty fancy wine bars. 1252 Tapas is kind of a Spanish style place. Papa's ice house isn't bad either, they have karaoke Wednesday through Friday if you like that kind of thing. It really depends what you like. Hubbell and Hudson has some great food along with Perry's, Kirby's, and Flemings. They also have a Brazilian steak house that is pretty good. The prices in the area are a little higher than you'd probably like but nothing that unreasonable. I've ran into several LSU alums up here and they all seem to enjoy living here.

Yea, I just find RDA's comic timing in the series a big part of why it was so great.

It was better than I expected. I'm gonna try and watch the whole show in the next couple weeks. Is this going to be worth it?
Series is great right up until the end. Then it falls off a cliff.
re: The Hobbit - which version did you/will you see?

Saw IMAX 3D. If you can get good seats in an IMAX I personally think it is better. If you are stuck close to the screen IMAX is a nightmare.

Stargate SG1
By just a little bit. I personally think the tv show was much better than the movie. And he was a big reason why.
