re: Which SEC QB seems the coolest and which seems the douchiest?
Posted by 20symbolsisnotenoug on 9/26/12 at 6:04 pm to crimsonsaint
Bray has to be the worst based on actions on and off the field and especially his interviews.
Coolest- I met Murray once. he seemed nice as a freshman. I was also buying him beers trying to get him in trouble in Gainesville. My scheming against other teams knows no bounds.
Driskell seems like a redneck dork. Jacoby Brissett might be the coolest person on UF's team from interviews. Too bad we don't get to hear him talk anymore.

I dont think many people here really HATE gays.
But very few straight men will be okay with someone calling them a fig or thinking that they're really gay. As long as that continues (will last forever IMO), people will not want to be associated with gays. There's something gross and immoral about the gays, again IMO, which is why I wouldn't have people thinking I'm gay. That's where the negative connotation comes from.

2014 is the year for florida. casey hill and chris walker coming in. both are probably 1 and done's but it will be scary. theyve been playing together for years. both top 25 prospects in the nation.

you all keep saying this.
you beat ark 52-0. there was no grudge against Arky and I don't think Ole Miss is that much better than arky was without Wilson.
Yes, I still pick arky to beat ole miss.

re: LSU/UF ban bet time

All Florida needs to win the game is for the turnoverS to be in their favor. Auburn showed that making the most of turnovers against LSU cna keep the game close.
It won't be Mett's first road game anymore, but BHG will be NUTS for the first time in a while. When it's packed out, there aren't many stadiums in the country as intimidating. I'm looking forward to it and wish I could be there. I say it ends up LSU-20, UF-18 or along those lines. I hope it doesnt come down to stopping each other on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 a bunch of times. We just don't stand up in that situation to LSU.
PS> Not taking the bet.

I haven't made as many away trips as I would like but, for me, it goes like this
1. WLOCP in Jacksonville (been 6 or 7 years)
2. TAMU (2012)
3. UT (2008)
4. UF
5. Auburn (2006)

Lots of Gator love. Beating a team that went 6-6 last year with a new coach and a team that went 5-7 last year head coached by Dooley still doesn't convince me they can block, have playmakers at WR, or show toughness against physically superior teams.
The thing is it's hard for any team to really be flat-out "physically superior" to UF. LSU's D-line probably is, but UF's line has looked good too. (at points, inb4 A&M game)
This team is physically and CERTAINLY mentally tougher than last year. 3-1 would shock me as much as 1-3. 2-2 is most likely because I can't see losing to both UGA and SC.
man down, man up. but I hope we can shake the injury bug this season.

re: Really impressed with Muschamp and UF
Posted by 20symbolsisnotenoug on 9/16/12 at 10:21 am to roadGator
The lack of TD's in the redzone is the thing that scares me. Our D keeps us in every game this season IMO. The inability to run up the middle when the other team knows whats coming is so frustrating. I don't call it a lack of toughness as much as just being stubborn. People know that Muschamp wants a "tough" team that can score that way so they know what to stop.
A little more creativity would be nice in those situations, but, other than that, I like what I see so far.
I'm not a Brantley hater, but Driskell seems to have stepped up and makes a lot of plays. He doesn't seem as scared as he did last year. The halftime adjustments have been killer which shows how good the OC and DC are. Muschamp has all the pieces headed in the right direction. How they respond when they get punched in the gut by a good team or untimely turnover or something is where we'll see what they're made of.

FSU fans only span from Pensacola to ~Lake City so when it's not a big game, the lack of numbers hurts them more.

Why be excited to be on CBS? the announcers are probably the worst and, if youre poor, I hear the clarity isnt very good on the non-HD channel.
If we get the same result we did in CS, I hope Gameday follows Florida the rest of the year.
They should have been at ND/ MSU this weekend though. And I see KState and OU next week. Michigan/ ND will lose some luster when both are 1 loss teams.

He was a freshman when I was a senior and I was taking a "public speaking" class I had put off as long as possible that he was in.
Looking back, he learned a lot more from that class than I did because he looks so comfortable in interviews and I always thought he was going to throw up when he had to make speeches in class.
