re: Basketball recruiting: LSU a major player for Colombian big man Tony Trocha
Posted by onlythefacts on 5/10/12 at 9:26 pm to GOP_Tiger
We all must be going crazy. This kid over Talbot for Houma, Louisiana. 6'10 265. Trocha couldn't bang his way out of a wet paper bag much less bang in the paint and survive 5 minutes of SEC play.

Gibby Talbot has commits to La Tech last saturday and will sign Tuesday night. This will be the one that got away guys. A local state kid that can bang in the paint.

I think he became a watch list guy in July at a LSU Elite camp when he played against Hamilton and pushed him around the floor that day. From what the locals in Houma say his best basketball is to come and it will come quickly.

PortCityMadMan; I heard that his grades wasn't an issue at all with anyone recruiting him. He's just been under the radar as a highschool player, but look at his numbers they add-up...........

Manswers, I seen him wear out a 6' 10" guy. Sunday with hooks from hell. I seen him do things he never done on the high school court.

Also another fact 3years ago this kid giave up what could have been a promising career in baseball for basketball. He's a lefty pitcher. If he would have stuck with baseball certainly would have been drafted for that this year.

I, agree with "Eye". I watched this kid this weekend in New Orleans and I along with many were shocked with his performance. Seen things that he didn't do in the, high school season. Had a great showing with only a roster of 6 players on Sunday to win the Championship. Gibby has an offer with La Tech also and is planning a visit next week. Had an offer from. Nicholls last week.

Guy's, I have strong feeling about this kid. Just Google him very impressive resume for only 3 years. Seen him play a lot and everytime he's improving. He played 4A class and had the best numbers in scoring and rebounding. Also watched him play this weekend and he dominated, a 6' 10" 280 lbs Jaleel Couisins. I feel Gibby is a sleeper we'll regret passing on.

chuckie, Google; Gibby Talbot and look at his numbers many feel this kid will explode over the summer with a college summer routine under his belt. Also I seen 4A LSWA allstate team and he had the best numbers of all 1st and 2nd teamers and last time I check 4A is one of the best leagues in the state. This Kid is a "sleeper". Not bad for a kid with only 3 years of basketball.
You right ELL is that "Huge White Kid"

Watched the Talbot kid from Ellender HS go against a 6'10" 280 Jaleel Couisins this weekend in New Orleans and he destoryed him. Holding Couisins to 4pts and 4 rebounds. Talbot scored 22 points with 20 rebounds.

Also heard now he's back playing baseball he's a lefty pitcher.
