My husband use to work with a guy that does this. He took us out hunting with him. I got to carry the bird a couple times. She did'nt kill anthing that day but it was an awesome experience I will never forget.

How about that..they look like they just came out of the effing woods with it. The original picture shows the whole head..I don't know why it's cropped like that..

We know who had it. I even have their picture..posing with the damn deer. The cop Sgt Redditt called his brother-in-law to come and get it that night.

That was the plan but we didn't get the whole head. By the time we found out who had the deer..he already turned it over to a kid to do the skull mount. That bag is how we got it back. Fins kept it for a year trying to get a cape that would fit it. Naturally, he couln't find one that size.

Haha, that's one I haven't heard..this week. I was driving to the gas station down Hwy 30 in St Gabriel and hit it on the road. Luckily my husband was with me..never been in an accident of that magnitude before.

<------Finally got the mount back from Fins and Feathers. I think he did a great job. He also had it scored..183 5/8 2 inches short of ALL TIME state record...although..it was killed by a GMC :)I know there are plenty of guys out there that didn't think we should have it mounted but the people who thought we should..Far out numbered you.

?? What do you mean something about this doesn't sit right? This is exactly how it happened.
Someone who got a picture of it on his cell phone..showed it to another guy,,who just happened to be the dad to the kid who was being paid to mount it for the brother-in-law..LOL When they realized it was the same deer..the dad called his son and told him who the rightful owner of the skull was..and HE brought it to my husband..
LOL,ya that is the brother-in-law. You can post all those pictures. The other guy holding the head up is a random guy that stopped that night and asked me to take his picture with it. It was crazy all the people stopping to take pictures with it. Neither me or my husband posed with it. All the airbags deployed so our vehicle was totaled and we really didnt know what we were suppose to do. We expected the police to help us..not steal the damn deer.

I begged my husband not to make such a big deal about it but he just couldnt let it go. We live in St Gabriel and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. He was just SO angry that our own police..that WE pay for..could stand on our front porch and lie his arse off like that. Then the police chief Ambrose pretty much told him ..yes the officed lied but there is no law saying you get the deer..no foul no harm..let it go.
Oh, and the only reason I posted it here is because someone told me they saw my deer on here a few weeks ago. Someone posted a picture of it saying it had been sent to his phone.
This is my first time on any website like this so I'm learning how to do the pictures. I am work today so I will try when I get home. I have several pictures..as it did total my vehicle too.

<----- I hit this buck with my 2003 Yukon Monday December 19th on hwy 30 in Saint Gabriel. It has 17-19 points (a few were knocked off in the wreck)and I was told it weighed around 230# When I asked the officer on duty if I could take the deer his answer was "no,dept of wildlife and fisheries has been called" But thanks to the world wide web and social networking we later found out the officer actually called his brother-in-law to come out and get it. After my husband went multiple rounds with the officer and the police chief they finally admitted only that dwf was never actually called "but they left the deer on the side of the road to go on a 911 call and when they came back..it was gone" How completely shitty is that! Like I said, thanks to social networking..we did get the skull back and I have a picture of the brother-in-law and his daughter posing with this deer like they just climed out of the stand from shooting it.
