Is the only way to determine a valid ticket is to have it scanned at the door as you enter?

It is for a real fan my daughter, an out of state freshman, however if the others in her group dont get tickets then she wont know the others around her and going to game alone she not sure about. Im buying the ticket as I am her wallet. She has been to every home game so far and I have been to every game this year.

So for student tix there will be at will call day of game and require ID and form of payment to pick up. At that point can a student sell their ticket or does those tix require student ID to enter game??
