re: Omi take out

They do take out. But the Chinese menu isn't online. On Friday I got hot and sour soup and cumin pork with bamboo shoots to go. It was delicious. Chinese entrees range from $9-$14 bucks. Most are $9. Their ribs are $14. It is the best Chinese in BTR.
Blend and Churchill's have decent ones.

Although it is not a dinner place, Randazzo's Italian Meat Market out in Denham Springs has an excellent meat and cheese tray. They also stuff their own peppers. They are open till 8 and serve beer and wine now. All of the food is excellent. All of their meats are imported from Italy. They also make all their own pasta fresh daily.

Too many to mention.
Is it bad because it is mismanaged and dirty or because of douchebag clientele?

So here are the 5 places for picking up a total D-Bag:
AAA, The Station, The Office, City Bar, Sullivan's on Thursday night.

The following places just suck on general principle:
Happy's, Clicks, Fox and Hound, Boudreaux and Thibodeaux, Punchers

The next group could be great with some actual bar management and a makeover:
Hound Dogs, Bald Eagle,Ivars, Zee Zee Gardens.

Really thinking about this has depressed me. I will be at the Bulldog, Radio Bar, Mud and Water, The Patio, The Time Out or Phil Brady's having a drink.

I have made caramel vodka by adding about 15-20 caramel squares into a bottle and letting it sit until mostly of it has dissolved. Then I strained it in coffee filters. I did the same thing with candy corn for Halloween. The caramel vodka makes a great White Russian.
I have also made vodka infused gummy bears. The bears soak for 8 days in vodka. On the 5 day, you add fruit punch to cut the taste.
The best thing I have made is the honey Bourbon--like they have at Juban's. Get a quart jar. Place a honey comb in it. Add the Bourbon. Let it sit for 2 weeks. then crush the honeycomb and let it sit for another week. Strain 2 or three times in cheesecloth. Enjoy.
My boyfriend went by today and his ticket numbers are in the 600's. Maybe they aren't selling them in order. He said the woman at the museum had a six inch stack of them. Went last year. It was great. The lines were minimal. Can't wait for the home brew! The weather looks like it will be clear. Just wear some boots. It's gonna be muddy.
Last year, we bought tickets the morning of.
You get satisfaction that Purdue does not get a motorized Abita ice chest. Also my boyfriend has promised to get drunk, dress like Kenny Powers and ride the ice chest down the street while shouting profanities. We will be videotaping it for youtube.
I am pretty sure facebook is the only way.

Agreed...go online and vote for all things Louisiana. NO ONE COMES DOWN FROM THE CORN FIELD AND TAKES OUR BEER.
That's ok. We can't let the Purdue people win. It just seems wrong.

Abita Ultimate Tailgating Contest!

Hi. My little dog, Riley's photo is one of the finalists in the Abita ultimate tailgating contest. He is a grey wiener dog wearing an Abita six pack. Go on facebook to the Abita homepage and vote for him. The link is below. You have to like him. Even if you don't vote for us, vote for one of the other Louisiana Krewes. Currently some morons from Purdue are winning. Keep this contest in the state. LSU or Saints!

I can't imagine the wonderful tips you would get at Red Lobster and Olive Garden after you shoveled out those soup, salads, and breadsticks or the endless shrimp dinner.
