As a resident of Southern California, and having to put up with Northern California's bullshite - he's definitely a bit on that side.
Last time I checked, football is played in four quarters.

It's well documented he's terrible under pressure.
KNEW COLLEGE FOOTBALL WAS FAKE

I'm convinced the NCAA has less value than our current Congress but this guy is clearly butthurt.

Depends if he gets a pay raise to go somewhere else

I think he'll settle down though in 'Bama.
ESPN is just commercialized bullshite. Don't ever take it seriously. I'm pretty the combo nonsense between HuffPo and Fox News is more credible than those glorified idiots.

What's with this frickin' attitude right now. We lost badly, get over it. Now we regroup and go for it again as we have ANOTHER legitimate chance to run the table again.

Agreed.

But ultimately all I want is an answer to what happened last night. I'm just trying to understand what happened.

Lions D/ST or Jets D/ST?

Posted by whodatgulf on 12/30/11 at 7:46 pm
Week II of my ship game.

I can't really decide between the Jets D/ST or the Lions D/ST. Supposedly Schwartz is going to play like it's business as usual this weekend and the Packers naturally are going to play their second stringers as that game means nothing (unless the Packers love moral and symbolic victories).

Last time the Jets played the Fins, they got 24 points in my league.

Thoughts?

re: Tashard Choice

Posted by whodatgulf on 12/24/11 at 2:32 pm to
No kidding.

I get happier than shite Spiller gets that random rush for 20+ yds and Choice can't even vulture correctly.

Get that scrub off the field.

Which RBs?

Posted by whodatgulf on 12/23/11 at 2:09 am
Mendenhall
Ingram (Ivory if Ingram isn't in for Monday)
Spiller
Battle
Bell

I was thinking maybe Bell, Spiller and Mendenhall.

However though I have Moss, Austin, Green, Thomas and Robinson at WRs so if it doesn't look good I at least have something in my pocket.

Thoughts?

re: Lance Moore blowing up

He's on my bench as well as CJ Spiller.

That's a good 50 points wasted on my bench...

Which WRs?

Posted by whodatgulf on 12/17/11 at 2:26 pm
Miles Austin
AJ Green
Demaryius Thomas
Santana Moss
Laurent Robinson

I was thinking of having Ivory / Barber for the RBs and putting in a WR on the flex position this week. If doing that I feel like AJ Green / Miles Austin to start no debate and Santana Moss in the flex position.

Thoughts?

Which RBs to start?

Posted by whodatgulf on 12/16/11 at 10:14 pm
I got Barber, Mendenhall, Ivory (since Ingram is out), & Spiller.

On the waivers there isn't really much. It's really a bunch of randos i.e. Donald Brown (which isn't Addai back and wouldn't that mean his production is gone?) & LT, etc.

I was thinking of running Barber, Ivory and Spiller. I have a decent lead on the opposing team for Week II of playoffs, so I just need them to get at least 10 points each and I'll be set.

Replacements for Ingram

Posted by whodatgulf on 12/9/11 at 6:48 pm
Now that Ingram's out for good, I'm looking for a viable replacement.

On my bench I have:

Donald Brown
Marion Barber

I know on the wire that are free to pick up right now:

Chris Ivory
McCluster/Battle

Everybody else on the wavier wire are pretty much backups to backups or the 'I'm going to see maybe 5 snaps' types.

Thoughts?
So let's say hypothetically Alabama outplayed LSU but LSU still wins.

The answer is still no. What ultimately matters in the end is the final score, nothing more, nothing less. If you can't finish, then you don't deserve to jump over LSU if you lose.
Writers will bitch about it for a week.
ESPN will bitch about it for years.

America will just move onto NFL playoffs.

The important part is "nobody will care" in a week guarantee.
Is geography part of the educational standards in Alabama? Or is it too complicated of a subject to explain over there?

Most deserving is RG3, no debate. I liked TR but RG3 is a helluva of a QB.

re: Is the BCS corrupt?

Posted by whodatgulf on 12/5/11 at 2:30 am to
There are so many things broken with the system but for now, deal with it for what it is.

Even if we had playoffs I wouldn't have any doubt that if Bama and LSU were on opposite sides of the brackets they would have probably be fighting each other in the championship game anyways.

We'll see though.

To be honest I don't see the logic in doing #1/#2 from a purely monetary standpoint on ABC's/ESPN's part if they are from the same conference. I don't think this game will be good for ratings, since what attractiveness does it provide for viewers on the West Coast or East Coast?

Yes, both teams are the best in college football but if the BCS and ESPN are truly about monetarizing the living hell out of the sport, this is incredibly, incredibly stupid. Do they think they can tap into major media markets outside the South with this kind of game?

Why does it matter what they think? If they want to be bitter for days, let them.

What matters is that this team is undefeated.

Which RBs/WRs to start?

Posted by whodatgulf on 11/30/11 at 2:05 pm
Early in the week but yeah. This season has seen my entire RB corps become decimated over the process so all I have left:

Rashard Mendenhall
James Starks
Donald Brown
CJ Spiller
Mark Ingram

As you can tell I am going to be heavily dependent on production from my WRs since these aren't guys who are going to rack up more than 15 points for me.

For WRs I got:

AJ Green
Laurent Robinson
Miles Austin (he's probs out for the week again)
James Jones
Heyward-Bey

My thoughts is that I start AJ Green & Laurent Robinson (since I feel like PP7 will go cover Dez over him) and for RBs, Mendenhall, Ingram, and Brown.

And that leaves Brees/Graham to once again rack up 50 points.
@RazorbackFan1984

You know if you're going to try to demean people with primitive intellect, you should be talking properly.

Just sayin'.

Was the crowd just singing Rammer Jammer cheer?

I could have sworn I was hearing 'Hey Alabama'

Kendall Hunter or James Starks?

Posted by whodatgulf on 11/18/11 at 3:49 pm
Can't decide between these two guys w/ Fred Jackson starting no contention.
