Hey guys, I wonder if we're focusing on the wrong thing.
Payton's involvement, Vitt's theft - all problems or potential problems, no doubt, to whatever degree of severity.
If any law schoolers want to help me out here - isn't the really big problem, the reason this really stinks so bad, the cover-up? I'm pretty sure THAT's what stinks so bad.
Just a kinda sorta similar example - martha stewart wasn't screwed b/c of the insider trading, it's because she lied about it. Or Barry Bonds (please don't think I'm comparing this issue in more than just one way to these cases) it wasn't the drug use, so much as the LIE to COVER UP the story, right?
So again, I am only comparing these cases in ONE way - the fact that the COVER-UP is what caused the most legal trouble, makes sense? ignore drugs, ignore inside info, ignore everything else, but focus on the COVER UP - that's the biggest LEGAL problem right?
Law schoolers, jump in, I'm pretty sure this is really the biggest legal problem here. What do you guys think? Everything else could be big problems themselves, but the cover-up, in my opinion, is the biggest legal issue BY FAR!
By the way, if you read the complaint filed by the former security guy, the thing really is the cover up, that he was asked to lie about the issue, which is a felony, and that's why he resigned, his whole complaint revolves around being asked to commit a felony, which it technically (unavoidably) is. Thoughts?

you really think Nicholson would be the normal reliever instead of Coleman?
i think that everybody realizes that, but 8 runs is a ton
yeah 8 runs is a lot with 3 innings left, but on the road against the #1 ranked team in the country, there is nothing wrong with throwing Coleman 24 pitches to make it even more likely we lock up game 1, especially knowing that Coleman can come back and start Sunday OR close out saturday if need be (which would win the series, which is the key) and do committee sunday (again, with the series having been won), AND we've saved almost our entire bullpen. This isn't something we'll do every weekend, we haven't, but it worked well when we did it last year, and if we do it a few times in SEC play this year, there is nothing to be fired up about. What we did this weekend was our strategy last year, and earlier this season coach Mainieri said it would be our strategy this year.

do any of the people questioning the decision to bring Coleman in with an 8 run lead realize after Ranaudo left, we needed 9 outs, Coleman gets 7 of those on 24 pitches, and by the time we got those final two outs Nicholson gave up 3 runs on 3 hits (including a homerun) and Bertuccini gave up a double before recording his one out. So to say that against the UGA offense it's such a no-brainer that the 8-run lead would've held that Coleman absolutely shouldn't have thrown 24 pitches seems a bit naive

I copied and pasted the email, but never got to read the pages of discussion and hopefully him posting the first half of the email which "talks about what's going on at Alabama", i could post it what I saved, see if they keep it up this time

There was a thread where someone posted an email he received, alleged it was originally from some "lsu higher up" but wasn't sure, just passing the info along. The email mostly praised frosh qb Jordan Jefferson. The thread was deleted, my post asking what happened to it was deleted, and now this post has been moved here. what's the big deal about that thread? nothing controversial just praise for a freshman.
now what happened to my post asking about...

the email! if it's worthless made up info, then who cares? it will eventually fade away, why was it deleted and then within minutes my post just asking about it deleted too? FREEDOM OF INFORMATION! or something like that...
