Tiger Stadium Seating Chart
If not the whole sideline to the fences at least astroturf the "Bench Areas"

If you click all the way to the 3D seating chart, they show all the ugly tarps on the field for everyone to stand on. I just think putting turf would look nicer. That is all. :geauxtigers:
I really hope they do like some of the other stadiums and use artificial turf from the sidelines to the fences. Only place the natural grass surface for the playing surface. This would eliminate the ugly tarps that the teams stand on and look alot better.

Yes, I searched every local news site checking to see if there was any news on what was going on with the scoreboard and found nothing this morning. So I figured to get answers, make a post on TD. Clearly it worked and got my answer to the scoreboard but proved I'm an idiot and a "fricktard" that just can't see. Thanks
I am the biggest idiot I guess and I will go get my eyes checked immediately. I could have swore that thing was not visible from the bridge this morning. Did they at least paint it so I didn't see it or am I really going blind? The ads do need to go though and the speakers need to be split between north and south. Sorry for the trouble.

North Endzone Scoreboard Gone

Anyone have any info on this? Are we finally getting rid of the 20K advertisements and getting a whole screen? :geauxtigers:

re: PMAC Upgrades?

Posted by geauxtigerbait on 2/14/19 at 4:32 pm to
With the Practice Facility being less than 9 years old (Opened 9/10) and built adjacent to the PMAC, I do not think building a new facility is the best option. Yes, it may cost more money initially, but renovating the current facility would be best. The location is great, infrastructure is there, the biggest problem is interior layout. Facilities built in similar time to the PMAC in the SEC were renovated or are being renovated and have all the modern amenities as new arenas(O'Connell Center @ Florida 2016, Stegeman@Georgia 2010, Thomson Boling@Tennessee 2018, etc)

:geauxtigers:
I say they artificial turf from the sidelines to the fence all arround the field and leave the natural grass for the playing surface only. This would allow them to quit using that ugly arse tarp in the player areas. This would be similar to the baseball field. Also, I would like to see the artificial turf on the baseball field extended onto the warning track in the outfield. I think it would look great. Make it happen!!! :geauxtigers:

I just realized that this has been posted to the wrong board. Is there anyway to move it to the Tiger Rant? This is what I get for having too many tabs open in my browser.

Nov 6, 1993

Scott Rabalais Article From This Morning

I don't know if this has been posted on here yet. If so, I apologize. Anyway per the article:

"LSU 17, Alabama 13, 1993. A 3-5 LSU team that lost 58-3 to Florida four weeks earlier went to Tuscaloosa as a 25-point underdog. Alabama was riding a 31-game unbeaten streak and ranked No. 5 nationally. The headline in the Mobile Register that day said “Tide could lose, pigs might fly.” The Tide did lose, and the Tigers didn’t need a chartered plane to fly home after arguably their biggest upset ever."

The situation today sounds awfully similar. Let's party like its 1993 and do the damn thing. I'm sick and tired of hearing about being the 21.5 pt underdog and losing to this team for a 7th time. Geaux Tigers!!!
It is always stressed public safety by authorities during the football games. However you restrict nearly half of Tiger Stadium to pass through a space of 4 feet between an suv and a baracade. People were piling into each other. Alot of tripping, etc. I was so fustrated, that I started shouting "Whats going on?, why are you parked here? People are trying to pass, move the damn cars." Then, I had two motorcycle Troopers surounding me. The younger one started asking me a thousand questions...."what is yelling going to do? Do you want to go to the game, because we can make other arangements? Are we stopping you from getting to where you are going?" I very nicely answered all his questions then after being threatened with arrest, they let me on my way. So I guess to summarize, the governor and his motorcade can force 50,000 people into a sardine can funnel, but God fobid anyone get discused and frustrated. Something needs to be done because if this happens for the rest of the season, the crouds will be bigger and there will be more frustration and safety concerns due to increased pushing and shoving.
I totally agree. How is this not a distraction? Call me a crab or whatever, but I think this was dumb. If it wasn't for the wave, it would be the dumbest thing ever. I made it known to the people around me how dumb I thought it was. I got a 50/50 mixed reaction. What ever happened to going into Tiger Stadium to scream and holler for the Tigers for 60 minutes and WATCH THE GAME? If I want to play on my cell phone, play beach ball, or throw my hands up like a fool, I would stay home. If you don't want to actually go to Tiger Stadium to WATCH and CHEER on the Tigers, sell your ticket and stay home. There is someone out there wanting it to actually watch the football game. I am very passionate about LSU Football and I firmly believe you scream your head on defense and STAND if necessary and sit and relax when on offense. I hope there are still plenty people out there that believe this too. I'm done my rant. :geauxtigers:

re: Starkville or Oxford?

Posted by geauxtigerbait on 8/4/15 at 9:14 am to
I've been to both Oxford and Starkville on a few occasions and here are my observations:

Oxford: Nothing to really do in Oxford, so you might as well stay 2 hrs away in Memphis. On game-day, be prepared to drink your alcoholic beverages from a cup, especially beer. If not, you will be hassled by police and they may issue a ticket. The grove in my opinion is overrated but is a site you must see, tents on top of tents, people trying to be high class dressed in suits and dresses. However, they do not allow open flames for barbecue, generators (even inverters), etc, so what kind of tailgate is that? The stadium is kind of plain and the fans are stuck up and a pain.

Starkville: There is nothing in Starkville other than the university so staying in either West Point or Columbus is your only option. There isn't a whole lot to do in either but I did find a damn good burger joint in West Point, Twisted Burger. Game-day is rather laid back but I enjoy it. You can drink and you won't be hassled, cook food on a grill and run your generator for music. The fans are nice and great to hang out with. It reminds me more of the LSU atmosphere but watered down. There stadium in my opinion is nicer than Ole Miss and they have a huge jumbo-tron with ads that don't take up the whole screen. The only negative I have with Starkvile is the cowbell but that's expected.

If you are going going for just the game and game-day atmosphere, I say Starkville. I have had alot more fun there and enjoyed myself being able to tailgate and throw down like at home.

If you are making a trip out of it and want to site-see, then Oxford is your choice and staying in Memphis is a must. However, in my opinion, the tailgating is not worth it, as there are too many restrictions.

:geauxtigers:
It should have said two cents. Not sense...I posted from my phone with swipe text and it must have put sense. I should have proofread better. I appoligize. So anyhow, to answer my question it was due to run differential. I still say this was dumb and they should have been no champion. I guess let them enjoy their imaginary championship and beat them when it counts in the season on the path to our real championship. Thanks for all the responses.
"Thank you for your interest in the 2015 Houston College Classic and congratulations to the tournament champions, Texas A&M!"

Someone explain this to me.....It wasn't a true tournament, more like a round robin. And two, LSU and A&M both went 3-0. If you award a "Champion", why not Co-Champs? Just my two sense. And yes I understand all of this is irrelevant.
