So what happened is at first we had 3 QBs committed to us. One went to TAMU and the other is still going to UO. JR couldn't get in because of his SAT. On National Signing day he sent two LOI's one to the CC in Iowa and one to UO because he had one more chance to get his SAT good enough to get in. He did. No one really knows why he de-commited from UO after he got his SAT up, he might not have been wanted this year with the coaches or maybe he just didn't want to go to UO anymore. Either way he should be able to get into LSU.

If you guys care at all this was the write up I had for him when he committed to Oregon. Just trying to let you guys know what you got:

Looks fast and this is against Florida competition.
Big time arm.
Can break tackles with jukes and mow over kids.
Ran the same type of offense at Chaminade Madonna as he will in Eugene.
Good leader according to his team mates.
Gives it his all every play.
Con:
He looks like he takes a step with the ball every time he throws it.
Seems like he stares down his #1 target a lot.
Once he runs he doesn't keep his eyes up he just runs.
Kinda lobs the ball a lot.
2.7 GPA and 19 ACT goes along with the tag of a bad decision maker.
Played on a talented team which could have made him look better than he actually is.

I'm saying that he announced it on facebook before and he has done it again. I'm not sure about the restrictions on tigerdroppings but I could post his facebook link where he is fending off Oregon and Miami fans by the bunches tell them he isn't go anywhere but LSU

Yup he picked you guys over an Iowa CC (to which he would transfer to Oregon), Oregon, Miami (hometown) and Georgia Tech.

He has a crazy amount of good colleges looking into him but I think what I heard is that Michigan has them as the #1 priority so he has a slight lean there. Nothing major though. It's funny that last year people weren't even sure if he would be a college QB, they were talking about making him a TE or LB due to his size :lol:

Is he pretty much a lock to OSU?
Yeah this would be great for our recruiting class if we could snatch him up. I'm not so sure he plays CB though. Cliff is a junior and we have a 4* freshman that we redshirted and are going to use next year a lot. Maybe he becomes part of our two back RB set? Tra is going to be a big bruiser for us like Blount was and he can be the quick back like LaMike. That's just my two cents.
