AVOID Campus Row- (CVS, BWW, the Pita Place and the Japanese place) Northgate
Posted by pttheking on 6/12/14 at 2:43 pm
Avoid Campus Row which includes CVS, Buffalo Wild Wings, Pita Pit, Kaminari Japanese Buffet, and whatever new businesses go into the many vacant spots in the shopping center. They allow Riverside to have people stand in the parking lot and watch for you to not walk exactly into their store right away and tow you. And they don't care. Absolutely horrid. Here is the email I received from the director of the complex regarding the policy. Also notice the typos in the email from a supposed professional. Sad that they choose to harm what could allow for the continued strengthening of the north side of campus.
Campus Apartments owns and manages the commercial space known as College Row and rents to various vendors. As our customers, many of them have requested more strict towing enforcement in this area because just as you did, many people park in the lot and go to other business; at times this can limit the spots for customers doing business in College Row. While there may be additional spots available at this time with the majority of students gone for the summer, it quickly becomes very crowded in this lot during the Fall and Winter terms when all students return. Enforcing the policies is completed year round as a service to the business owner's within College Row. In order to accommodate the business owners in College Row and ensure only the customers doing business at College Row are using the lot, we've allowed Riverside Towing to enforce the policies for this location. East Baton Rouge Parrish requires 4 towing signs on a property our size; we've posted 38 towing signs at various points in the parking lot advising that you may not park at College Row if you are not a customer of College Row to prevent towing. Riverside Towing has not been instructed to have someone stand and observe, although we will not discourage them from doing so. The reason they stand and watch while someone leaves is because it MUST be video taped in order to justify the vehicle being towed. Otherwise, Riverside Towing would have no way to differentiate between a car that id doing business within College Row from those who are not.
While I understand your point of view regarding the additional unused spaces yesterday, our parking rules were clearly stated, are always in effect, you were in violation, and the rules were enforced the only way legally possible. We would prefer that a towing service not be necessary but it truly is. In fact, during the football season our Maintenance Supervisor drives the lot (even though Riverside Towing is there) warning people who are parking and leaving to move their cars so they don't get towed; this is done as a courtesy to all who park in this area.
Again, I appreciate your feedback and you are always welcome to use College Row parking while doing business within the plaza. Otherwise, please park at the respective business or there is a paid lot we mange right beside Koi Sushi.

Second team in gets significantly less money. All money except about 2 million for expenses is split evenly amongst the conference teams and the conference. Means we will get about $6-$7 million by the time all the money is divided out between all members.

Say what you want, but we shouldn't be losing to anyone when we put up 80 points
This is the best part of what you said. This team had several chances late to get the ball back down one possession and could not, because they broke basic defensive fundamentals to attempt to make a selfish play. With 45 seconds on the clock, down 2, do not gamble. Play strong man to man, but off enough to not need help. Do not reach, and we get the ball back most likely with a chance to tie. Instead twice we reached, and gave up two open baskets. Very frustrating to watch. If they can figure it out on that end they will be just fine come SEC time.

Serious question: Why the hell does anybody care what Lloyd Carr thinks?
He won a National Championship, or at least a share of one. He won at Michigan, the right way, and he is part of the Bo coaching tree. Plus many boosters at Michigan now claim they did not want him to go, even though many did back then, because he won, and took Michigan to major bowl games... 2 or 3 BCS games, and was successful against SEC teams. His haters will point to his struggles against the vest, and his struggles against PAC 10 opponents, but that is why he is relevant.
They do, probably top 5 in the country. And if it was my grad school major, I'd be there.

you obviously are pretty intelligent yourself to leave the doorsteps of UM and come all the way down to trailer trashville to attend LSU. I mean LSU shits on UM's schooling.
Not in my field. But thanks though. I appreciate your concern for my education. It shows real compassion.

Yeah there was a reason you fired Carr. whenever has someone who got fired had such a huge shadow. He didn't retire. YOU CANNED Him
Yeah, and as Rich Rod went worse and worse, Mary Sue Coleman and co looked worse and worse. it is the main reason why Bill Martin was gone, as he forced Carr out, and replaced him with crap.
I am foolish... ok, whatever you think. I am not overly worried about that. But I would bet your big three would turn down LSU in a heartbeat. I just hope for both of our sakes as LSU fans that they don't. I love being a part of LSU and being in Death Valley every Saturday night. And I want to see us compete for a NC next year. So I hope Miles stays, because with that road schedule, we don't need a coaching change.
you are correct, I don't, not nearly as well as the GREAT AND POWERFUL Maximus and your 30,100 posts... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Dude, really I mean honestly... 30,000 in 6 years... thats 5000 a year, that is way more time tied to a computer then I could possibly want. I hope you at least get paid for this....... I wont go further that. I wish you luck, and hope a few of your 30,000 posts have shown far more intelligence then the name calling I have seen here.

It seems the big name coaches want total control over the operations and having Carr looking over your shoulder is a big negative.
Yeah, it is one of the reasons why U of M is looking for a " Michigan Man." And it is one of the reasons why Harbaugh wants nothing to do with U of M. Him and Carr do not exactly have a love love relationship.
Yep, actually I did. Amongst a lot of other stuff I read, but hey I am 14. And ignorant, and dumb, and stupid, and oh yeah, have no concept of LSU football, because I do not have 30,000 posts.... Might as well throw in fat ugly and a devil worshiper while I am at.
I hope you get your wish if he leaves and get the coaches you want, but I am willing to bet it won't be. Maybe it will be Chavis, maybe it wont. But the point made in general is the same, it will not be a huge national coach. Too late in the recruiting season.

Damn is there anyone Carr likes. He doesnt like JH or LM.
Brady Hoke, and it is why he is a front runner. Carr still has an office in UofM football facility and still uses it. He has Mary Sue Coleman's ear, and has a huge influence, especially since they went heavily against him with Rich Rod, and it blew up in their face.
Yep, I am 14. Thanks, come again. Wow, you really prove the trailer trash stereotype.
quote:
yeah he won't leave that $750,000 salary behind.
Then you don't know jack crap about Pat Fitzgerald. He wanted the Northwestern Job, has repeatedly said he will not leave, and has said he wants to be like Paterno at Northwestern. Dude does not need money, because he has more then enough.
Now about the others, you attack me, and I blow a hole in what you say, and now you respond with more crap. No you are correct, LSU is not firing Miles, but if he leaves, reason number 1 is LSU fan nation, which by and large has made his life hell. And all the names you named, beyond the first couple would be a huge downgrade from Miles.
quote:
What about Pelini, Fitzgerald, Hoke, Sumlin, Tuberville, Petersen... anyone else in line for a head coaching job at some point has a better shot than Chavis.
Pelini isnt leaving Nebraska, Fitz isnt leaving his dream job... and the rest, if you want them take them, they are three steps down from where you are at right now.
quote:
what are you going to grad school for, douche
Wow really... welcome to slumtown. Honestly that is pathetic
Moeller stuff never happened? No point in arguing about it. Its what it is. Miles left Michigan by U of M's choice... and anyone who knew Bo and what he stood for understands exactly what that meant.
Funny, just because you can swear doesn't mean you do either. Who exactly is coming to LSU? Saban left, and even when he came, he was not a huge name. Mullen isnt leaving... Patterson isnt coming here... so who exactly are you going to get to roll on into Baton Rouge?
Funny, I never said I didnt root for LSU. I grew up outside of Ann Arbor. I sat my tail every Saturday in the student section, and will again next fall. I pay out of state tuition because I am a LSU fan. Just giving an outside perspective.
Another view from a LSU student who grew up rooting for the Maize

I have enjoyed reading the viewpoints of LSU fan nation about Les and Michigan. First of all, Les is an awkward Michigan man amongst the old time boosters, because of the "incident" with Moeller. But the fact that Moeller was an idiot and got himself fired, really kind of made a lot of people forgive Miles for whatever may have happened.
I am surprised that people want Miles around. He was close to person non-grata most of this season. I know beyond any doubt that he would be welcomed in Ann Arbor. He could probably bring Crowton and still be accepted. People in Ann Arbor see 10-2 playing the SEC schedule as 11-1 and a Rose Bowl berth, which is a dream season. In Big Ten Country, especially in and around Ann Arbor and Columbus, going to Pasadena is all that matters. And Miles has shown time and time again that he can recruit, and he can win. They are not wanting 50 point games, they are ok with ugly wins. The pressure on Miles would be no where as intense as it would be here.
The other issue for LSU is something that as an outsider I definitely can see. LSU will have a hard time finding a replacement that you guys would be happy with. Especially right now. My guess is that Chavis would be only possible option which would make any sense.
Miles is a good coach, and honestly for my sake as an LSU student I hope he stays. He runs a solid clean program that honestly could be a national championship contender next year. If he leaves, that will be gone. I hope I am wrong.
