I’m driving tomorrow from Bham to New Orleans (1800 block St Charles Ave) to pick up my sister and bring her here until power is restored. I usually get off Exit 12D Carondelet St? I think? - will I have any trouble & need to detour to another exit? It looks clear on Waze but who knows if that’s right…Thank y’all for all you do!

Granted that I'm a "older mature lady" I totally agree that B'ham is on the upswing, my kids 26 and 27 even say so..
I was around during "The Cobblestone" era on Morris Ave...a extremely mini Bourbon Street (5 or 6 bars within walking distance) that was fun---And safe!!!
Love The Uptown district now.. The Southern Kitchen has great food, great atmosphere..
Enjoyed hearing Michael Warren playing at a Sunday Brunch a couple of weeks ago ...

*love Saws too!

Great documentary... Great enough we took a day trip & toured both studios! Hubbies was even allowed to play a LS song on the grand in the "Fame studio" (dream come true for him) . The tour guides were great & told us stories not on the documentary... Like how Duane Allman camped out in a tent out back for days just to be a "extra"--- good stuff!!

I agreed Fairhope Tider.. James seemed distracted or overwhelmed to me last night. My first disappoint with him.

Just moved my son into some apartments off Jeff Rd in Huntsville today for a new job that starts Thursday..
We're from B'ham & know nothing about Huntsville & he has no cable yet!! Do you know the best live station feed online he could watch? I'm a nervous mom..Thanks in advance!

So glad to hear I'm not alone with this problem!
My husband, whom I love dearly, is so guilty of this & makes me feel bitchy when I ask him to please not eat so loudly.
There's no polite way to request it and he only gets mad if I do..
The worse to me is the sound of a fork scraping teeth...arghhhh
and my hubby wonders why I have to have the stereo or TV on loud when we eat dinner...

I bought the Nascar Racing Experience for him (he's a Nascar fan, I'm NOT)..he shows everybody his 181 mph lap speed & picture of him climbing out of the car in his race suit!!
