Perhaps, but I would like to be able to say that we beat the Big East champion, PAc-12 champion, SEC East champion, and whatever conference champion (probably BIg XII) we would play in N.O. in a single season. It's a long shot, but it would be one of the most spectacular single season acocmplishments in CFB history.

I guess it's official now. Dana made comments and they had to go forward with the Sept. date, that Overeem is unavailable because of and injured toe that he faught through against Werdum, and that's why they have alternates.

It's a good opportunity for Cormier.
They wanted a sept. date and he wanted an oct. date for the silva fight. Overeem was on Ariel Helwani's radio show today and said they threatened to pull him out of the tournament and he told them no and he doesn't like to be threatened. Then later today the rumors started being reported as rumors and everyone is trying to confirm, but it sounds like they were serious.
Rumors are swirling around that Overeem has been pulled from Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix and Lafayette native Daniel Cormier has been promoted to Overeem's spot in the tournament to face Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.

Cormier replaces Overeem

The fact that they did not continue the outside coliseum look when they added the upper decks was very disappointing and hurt the great look of the stadium. Hopefully they will come back and redesign a better look then what they have. When a teams players and fans enter TS they need to know they are entering a coliseum to do battle.
St-Pierre/TKO/Rd4
Aldo/Sub/Rd3
Matyushenko/Decision
Machida/TKO/Rd2
Henderson/TKO/Rd3
Thanks breezy.
I'm thinking bout it drew, but that's a pretty long drive. I'd like to though. Anyone want to go?

yeah the drive to monroe is brutal. huerta is fighting this weekend at bellator 7 in boston.
this fight is really important for filho if he's going to bounce back. it will be interesting.

brezzy...is ricco training in BR? i've read a few places that he's been living in south la. and is tight with rich clementi. i think he's fighting on the 22nd at coushatta casino in kinder.
Bellator Fighting Championships 18

Monroe, Louisiana

Paulo Filho vs Hector Lombard
Georgi Karakhanyan vs Joe Warren
Patricio Freire vs Wilson Reis
Doug Williams vs Shawn Jordan
Lamont Stafford vs Jules Bruchez

This is a high quality fight card with a good mixture of top shelf talent (Filho vs Lombard, Karakhanyan vs Warren, and Freire vs Reis) and Louisiana fighters. Shawn Jordan is a former lsu player. Jules Bruchez and Christian Fulgium are La. products that made apperances on TUF.

i can't wait to see how this all turns out!!! M-1 wants to co-promote events and bring in the whole red devil team but co-promoting is not going to happen, unless in russia, but i could see them bringing in some top russian prospects. all in an effort to get a foothold in russia and eastern europe. aleks' recent comments about M-1 are verrry interesting, especially when coupled with m-1 comments of only wanting to "co-promote" events...

sounds like they are just trying to piggyback on the last emperor to me..???

hope he signs though and the sport benefits from his potential marketability.
