Auburn great Tucker Frederickson is now 82. Even as a die hard Alabama fan, I always viewed him as one of my favorite football players. The Birmingham News had a good article on him 5 years ago that worth a read.

War Damn Tigers. I hope Auburn wins.
This was definitely our TWAT (The Worst of All Time) Iron Bowl.

"Pound The Rock". Most stupid, irritaing phrase ever.

A newer one is "Spin the Magic Bean". Sounds like a vibrator.

I was a student in the late 1960s, and don't remember Rammer Jammer. As a dumbass college kid, I would have yelled as loud as anyone. Now it wouldn't bother me to never hear it again.

Yeah, that was brutal.

I'm also a Partagas fan. Maybe it's the Cameroon wrapper. H.Upmann has some with a Cameroon wrapper, too. They are also very good.

Will there be enough students there for Mett to actually hear them?

Me too. Senior year at UA. Probably the most exciting game I attended.

All joking aside, the tailgating on North Campus was ruined by Michael Adams but downtown is a blast with numerous food and drink options.

Actually, it was dumb arse UGA fans that ruined tailgating on North Campus. That place looked like the county dump after a game. Disgusting behavior by disgusting fans.

Interesting. I was born and reared in Oxford. Left the state after graduating from The University. Been in Athens, GA about 30 years.
I wish him well and hope he has success. I've been a Shula fan since I saw him bring Alabama back for a win at UGA in 1985. Of course, like a lot of Bama fans, I'm happy he's a former Bama coach.

This shite is laughable. And for the record, when these "journalist" were investigating Tyrann they had guys crawling around sketchy parts of BR at 2am over some weed. Te'o trolls the country for 3 years and nobody bats an eye.

You are absolutely correct. Take a look at this article in Slate about the different vetting in the Teo and Mathieu stories.

Can someone summarize?

You "skimmed" the article for 10 minutes and still don't know what it was about? What happened, did your mouth get tired of moving?

Even if it was explained in excruciating simplicity, you obviously wouldn't understand.
Dawg fans are always hurt over something. Worst fans ever. I live in the middle of them, and they make Auburn fans look sane.

Well, that's a start.

Hope y'all have a successful season. Well, pretty successful, anyway.

Have a safe trip, enjoy yourself, and come home a winner!
I was a student there in the late'60s and don't remember it before the games. I also don't remember Rammer Jammer (or much of anything else) after the games.
Requesting posting access to Alabama board.

Thanks.

Homer or not, that's pretty good. Well done!
Alabama vs. Georgia Tech in 1961 at Legion Field in B'ham. I had been to earlier Alabama games, but remember this particular game because of the Darwin Holt/Chick Graning incident.

Well, hey there. I grew up across Quintard from the mall. Of course, back then there was no mall or Quintard. I often rode my bike to Oxford Lake for swimming and fishing. We also made it to Coldwater Creek and visited the springs a few times. Dang, it was COLD.
