re: LSU fan was assaulted...sorry for the bad info.

Well, I will admit that the information that I had earlier was obviously incorrect. My apologies to the people that were involved. I also apologize to all members of this forum. I was told that the incident did not happen and that was very bad information. This is not acceptable behavior by the people involved and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Again, I offer my apology. Hope the people that did this to innocent people are caught. Anyone that witnessed this needs to come forward.

It seems odd that ONLY the WVU Facebook page has this info
It is the "official fan page" of West Virginia University.

University Police have confirmed this morning with the Morgantown Police Department that there was an incident in the Purple Lot after the game where a visitor was assaulted. The Morgantown Police Department is aggressively pursuing all leads. If you have any information please contact the Morgantown Police Department at 304-284-7522.
Where is the link?

Here is the link to the story about Marcus Mason getting beat up in 2007. From a Missouri newspaper....couldn't be a Mizzou fan trying to paint WVU in a negative light could it??? Nice try but STFU. Missouri paper from 2007...same name and everything

Where is the newspaper article? Where is a copy of the police report? Administrator at eersports.com checked with Morgantown police department and there was no incident reported. Plus, why would the victim be sent to Pittsburgh to trauma center when he would be literally yards away from a top rated trauma center at WVU Ruby Hospital? This incident did not happen and someone is trying to spread this as the truth. This incident did not happen. Period!
This has already been debunked. It was an exact rendition of an incident that happened in St. Louis 4 years ago. All they did was change the names and created a fake FB page. Go to eersports.com and they have a complete thread on it proving it is a completely false. There is no purple lot in Morgantown. Someone is upset that WVU fans treated LSU fans with respect and didn't get to hear the horror stories from LSU fans that they were anticipating.
Heading to the game....have a horrible night LSU!! Let's Go Mountaineers! WVU 21-17

LS Usetheforce...if you could comprehend what you read then it wouldn't been that big of a deal.
Louie....that avatar pic...nice forehead!! That might actually be a fivehead!
What do you want to hear? How Noel, Jock and Tavon are gonna make your defense grasp at air and make them look stupid? That will happen....how you WONT be able to run the ball against us? If our OL can protect Geno Smith then you guys are in trouble.
And LSU has some of the dumbest fans that we have played in a looonnng time!

L S Usetheforce....surely you aren't this fricking stupid. I guess they should write it in crayon so your mouthbreathing arse would understand it. WVU played Maryland in Morgantown which would have been a home game for WVU. Quit licking the window and try to pay attention.

We threw in a Fiesta Bowl beatdown of Oklahoma after that Sugar Bowl win. Very unimpressed with LSU fans knowledge of programs outside of the SEC. Yes, I will be at the game...section 631 row BB....come get some!

A West Virginia boy had to come down and lead you guys to a national championship. Miles inherited a title from Saban. Your program has been on a steady decline since Saban left.
I wish our kicker had that kind of average. I can only remember a couple of touchbacks so far this season.
Speaking of that Sugar Bowl win over the SEC champion Georgia Bulldogs in Atlanta, if memory serves me correctly.....didn't that Georgia team totally undress you guys in the SEC championship game in the same building and cost you a shot at the National Championship???? Just sayin'

Like Baton Rouge and Louisiana is the cultural and technology mecca of the world.

Obviously you need a reading comprehension class you mouth breather. WVU just played Maryland at home. Good lord, you must have been one of the LSU students that were interviewed yesterday.
Didn't say we have won all of them!

Well, depends on what you call a big game. If you consider beating the SEC champion Georgia Bulldogs in Atlanta in the Sugar Bowl, then yeah I think that was a big game.
