I've played soccer my entire life but have never had FSC and haven't ever really gotten into watching the sport. I've really enjoyed the past few weeks of the EPL and would love to throw my support behind a team. Help?
Considering Hendo and I played for the same High School team, I would have to agree. I would say my state championship D-1 team or our premier team could at least break out of group play, if not further
'Preciate all the advice. You think they allow pellet guns in the canoe? We don't want to hunt for real, but I can't say if we saw a live animal we wouldn't try to kill it and eat it for the hell of it
Buffalo River Float
Posted by Pegasus on 5/5/11 at 9:48 am
I started a thread on here a couple of weeks ago about doing a hike somewhere in arkansas, and me and a couple buddies finally decided that we would rather do a float down the buffalo river. This is where we plan on going, 3 day float, sounds reasonable. Does anyone have any experience with this area? Any suggestions of things that might go wrong, things to avoid, things to bring? Both of my friends have experience camping, I sadly do not, and we don't really want to go into this too blindly. Any help or advice is much appreciated.

MOST people shouldn't climb. That's the draw to it. Most people would absolutely spaz out and do something outrageous, but same thing on a river. I've been to Sandrock countless times and I think it's an amazing place to go camp and hike. That's why I posted.
I appreciate the advice, knowing that it wouldn't be tough climbing definitely adds to the appeal.

There are canoe rental places everywhere on the White and Buffalo rivers.
Do a 3 day float trip. Y'all would have a blast. Plus it's easier, you don't have to pack all your gear, just load up the canoe.
Something like this?

+1 on northern Arkansas. I have family in mt home. Very beautiful landscape up there. A trip down the white river is hard to beat. Y'all could put in around mountain home and just camp your way down the river for a few days
Is there somewhere around there that we can rent kayaks or canoes?

Personally I'd go to Sand Rock in northeast Alabama. You NEED to bring some ropes, harnesses, and webbing to climb the rocks you can get to the top of, but the place is legit. It's car camping but there is caving and a good deal of trails to hike at the base of the climbs. Y'all HAVE to at least boulder to make it worth it. There is a river close that you can day trek down. Leave one car at the bottom. Cool spots to swim and dive too. Research Sand Rock, it's a super neat place.
Most of the guys in our group won't be experienced climbers, lookin for something a little easier
What about 3 day?
Smoky Mountains and Colorado sound nice, but we don't want to travel more than probably 4 or 5 hours. Anybody got something around there?
Hiking and Camping...Where should I go?

Me and a couple of buddies are lookin to take a 5-7 day hiking trip as soon as school ends. Anybody got some suggestions of places they've been with some nice trails, maybe runnin next to a river? Any suggestions are appreciated, TIA.
Also: I prefer suggestions of places that you've been/had experience with, not something you googled.

College Student Investing
Posted by Pegasus on 1/4/11 at 7:01 pm
As a budding college student with a fairly small savings account, I am looking to get started in investing. Mutual funds seem appealing and smart, but hard to win big. Tips? Advice? Links that could point me in a helpful direction? Anything is appreciated. TIA.

If she's 20 and wants to peruse the tailgates with people her age, tell her to come to the parade grounds. That's where the fraternities tailgate, all girls eat and drink free.
