Just going by history, I don't see AA going big on any trades.

Starting the season, I feel like they were waiting on Smith-Shawver, Schwellenbach, and Waldrep to boost the pitching staff at mid-season. But they were also counting on Strider, too.

Reilly, Kim, and Acuna(health) have been major disappointments. But I don't see any trades to replace any of them.

The Braves have the 5th(?) highest pay roll, but it feels like they spend like paupers.

Based on what I’ve heard, I’m pretty sure Pat Dye was the choice had Dooley left.

Did Indiana outspend Georgia on its payroll last year?

I have no idea, which is a bad assumption on my part.

I just assumed they did with all the hoopla surrounding Cuban. I would be surprised if they didn't atleast for the transfer portal.

This is an interesting pivot point in Kirby's tenure at Georgia for sure.

Agreed.

Until the rules of NIL change or we get our own version of Mark Cuban, I feel this year is Kirby's last chance at a natty for a while.

He's still the best recruiter in football, but this feels like things are trending to a rebuilding type program vs. a reloading program.

It was meant as a tongue in cheek response.

But you keep on overreacting to life if it makes you feel better.

Wow.

For me, he died on the hill of fixing the USPS.

It still takes 10 days to mail an invitation to my next door neighbor.
SECCG: GA vs TX: Leonard's Loser, in a close one, GA.

Natty: GA vs. TX: Leonard's Loser, in a close one, TX.
Thanks TD!

Most of the UGA baseball info I get is from you.

TEX beats GA in the SECCG this year.

GA wins the natty.

re: Big 12 might boycott Texas Tech

Actually that is a normal court cycle don’t blame them.

The problem is TT gamed the court system knowing full well if they got a judge to grant this now that was the win because of the timing. They knew it would not be heard until after the season. And then it would be dropped because its too late. That was their plan all along. And they knew no judge in Tx would deny it because its election year and football is so big in Tx they could not deny it else risk losing their seat by unhappy fans and money makers.

This is why boycotting TT should happen immediately.

The Big 12 should take the lead on this. It affects the conference more than anyone else. And if they don't, I would be for expanding the boycott to the entire Big 12. Their inaction only enables TT.
Neither school deserved that pairing.

Bama should have gotten State. State got screwed with the 14 seed.

Bama gets a free ride to Omaha.
They no longer use Nike bats?

Could you expound on this?

I have no idea, but it seems those guys would have been Dawgs regardless.

I've felt like this is what's going on starting this year's recruiting class. Recruit good, solid, inexpensive high school players whose abilities can be enhanced and also buy into the culture. Then, study up on existing prospects during the 2026 season at other schools and poach the hell out of them with the money saved.

Georgia golf remains one of the top feeder schools to the PGA Tour.

I follow golf as much as the next guy, and while it's fun to see previous dawgs do well in the PGA, I would like to see a little more success at UGA.

It would be nice to get a trophy of some kind every now and then. And I'm not talking about a Linger Longer trophy.

Vying for the SEC championship should be a given. Getting in match play in the NCAAs should happen fairly frequently as well.

Hopefully, DeMoss will get things jump started with Mason Howell and things take off.
