That's not domination.
I'm glad you told me that, but i just never thought to look at it that way. That actually further proves my argument that we have a strong rivalry with Bama

is it really worth getting that mad over? Bama isn't our biggest rival because of Saban. (I'll give you a minute to jump all over that one) It's not because of him leaving LSU, its because we are 2-2 against him with alternating home losses. Every game since Saban has gotten there has had some kind of championship implication. Is Ole Miss really our #1 rival, really? the team that hasn't been a player in the SEC since the 60s should matter to us more than a perennial national championship contender? Ok. Also...yeah, we hate USC, but they don't play us. they can steal our championships, that's cool, but its not like we have a tradition of playing them. And i went up to Auburn this year, they don't hate us, they kind of respect us just like we do with them. I didn't have a single heckler down there, these random fans actually invited me into their tailgate and talked sports with me. I almost died last year in Tuscaloosa, I mean literally almost died for doing the same things I did in auburn.

I don't expect a LSU fan to understand it.
That's the one negative thing about being an LSU fan, our only real rivalry is with Bama and they dominated us until Les got there...as much as they make us try we just do not care about the Golden Boot. We proved how pointless that game was after we lost it and won a championship.

i think it's kind of funny that i post an objective thread asking Bama fans to rationally explain something, and 80% of the post from Bama fans completely prove my point about them being irrationally hostile.

Several have answered in this thread about the rivalry but you aren't acknowledging any of it.
sorry, i kinda thought the thread died. I'm talking about just in general living in Alabama, it happens everywhere. from my experience, this is a football argument in Hoover:
"ROLL TIDE, 13 IS WHAT IT IS"
"well, we just won a championshi-"
"CALL ME WHEN YOU HAVE 13"
"Okay... :dope: "

The fact that he ended up with the Browns tells me that it was a a good choice

I see bigger holes in the LB depth chart than I do D Line. If Vilma goes down, we have the Bad News Bears.

I know he's well known, but i think Jarvis Landry is very underrated. His intangibles are better than any I've seen this year.

Who can we trust in sports?

I used to listen to ESPN for their sports commentary, but since Joe Schad told me Les was leaving and I looked closer at their NFL draft coverage (if you ever want a good laugh, look at their past predictions) I've given up on them. who do you think is the best source for news and commentary? (except here of course

this is what I'm looking for. since I've had to deal with all of the stuff from 09 it would be fair to say im butthurt about Alabama, just wanted a fact based argument for the other side.

i am serious, like i said, it sounds criminally insane to say that. all I'm saying is that i see alot more bama fans attacking AU fans than the other way around

Auburn Fans v. Bama Fans

This sounds like a stupid question, but hear me out:
Why do Bama fans hate Auburn fans so much? As an LSU fan living in AL it seems to me that it's not justified. AU isn't a historically dirty team, they constantly get screwed out of championships and just move on without claiming them, and their fans are usually pretty nice people. Compare that to Alabama, one of the best programs over time, but a team that seems to be constantly under fire for some kind of violation. i get that it's a strong rivalry, but if anyone should be pissed, it should be AU not Bama.

I know that one has bounced around here for awhile, but it's a bigger deal now that we have a solid QB prospect in Mettenberger

I need to look at Gonzales, but I've been thinking about Leach for a long time. I think that he would be great, but his high risk/reward system isn't as useful when you have LSU's defense to lean on
Gary Crowton
Posted by Geauxhomebama on 1/11/11 at 3:14 pm
Now that we can put this whole Les Miles thing behind us, I'm thinking about the future. LSU has a great class coming in and a better one maturing in the system. These past few years, the issue has been offense; not offensive talent, but offensive coaching. what do you guys think about Crowton? should he be replaced, and if so, by who?
