I make about $110k/year. I am very frugal and my wife is a stay at home mom. I have seen a few financial planners and they always make me uncomfortable.

You may be right. Maybe it is not just an LSU problem. Maybe it is a south problem. That doesn't make me feel much better about the situation.

Throwing beer bottles at other human beings has nothing to do with passion. It has to do with stupidity and ignorance. I guarantee you the 1st time some does that in return, pub fanbase won't think it is a passion play. Are you kidding me?!?

As far as whether this is the school that I should cheer for. Let me get this straight. Beer bottle throwing and calling people figs is a passion thing? If this isn't for me, maybe I should find a new school to cheer on? Wow. And wow.

Just based on the majority of the responses in this thread, I guess it just reinforces my original thoughts of what our fan base is like. Quality FU post at the end there.

My theory is actually pretty close to your thought. I think winning has brought about a lot of front runner fans that are more about partying and not really about football.

Also. Not an old man. I am 32 years old and have 2 year old twins. Although I do feel old sometimes with the amount of sleep they have allowed me lately.

I am actually a lifelong LSU fan. I live off Siegen lane next to Ambrosia Bakery. Not a "troll". And nothing was made up. It happened in section 444 and 445.

LSU fans reputation

I remember as a child going to games and how much fun it was. People would yell tiger bait and a friendly back and forth would occur. It was all in good fun. I moved away for a decade and finally got the opportunity to move back to BR. I would tell all my friends in other areas of the country about how awesome games were here and I would tell them the great stories about my experiences as a kid.

I have noticed such a big difference in the last decade and started to realize the fan base for LSU had morphed into something that isn't in the ballpark compared to years ago. I know no fanbase is perfect and everyone has their extremists...but my God our fans have really embarrassed me every game that I have attended and brought a friend to experience LSU football.

Tiger baiting used to be in good fun, now it has gotten ugly. The Oregon game was the worse. I saw beer cans/bottles thrown at Oregon fans and this was from individuals that weren't plastered. Flipping the bird and called them figs. WTH?!?

When did our fanbase turn into this? Why did it happen? I am very apprehensive to bring an out of state friend to a game these days!
