He wants a boat house lift according to the other thread. Sounds like he wants to do himself, but needs the pilings driven.

This is exactly right.

2500 to get the barge out and $500 per piling?

Is that an accurate quote?

Want to build a boat lift

Boat is roughly 3000 lbs dry
20' 8"

My slip is roughly 11x17

Where can I get plans to build a lift to suit my needs. (On the cheap too)

Where do I get old telephone poles locally and who can drive the pilings into the water locally and what is the going rate per pole?

O yea and the slip can't be accessed from land...would have to be a floating barge.

Boudin was Meh...hardly any spice and very little meat.

Cracklins were hot and fresh...no seasoning but they are good and I just season myself.

Jalapeno sausage was OK.

All I got so far.
I got this notice in the mail yesterday stating that they needed more info about a direct IRA (simple) rollover to a qualified employee savings plan 401(K) I made back in tax year 2010. On my return it is coded as a "G" distribution with no tax withheld and not claimed as taxable income for that year.

The notice states that I owe them an additional whopping $8205.00 in back taxes if they add the IRA distibution as addional income for that tax year. I did everything right on my return and now I have to respond and write a letter and show documentation again about the rollover. Pisses me off to no end that I have to do this.

Here's the breakdown:
Amount of tax increase: $6505
Accuracy-related penalty: $1301
Interest from 4/18/2011 to 10/17/2012: $399
Grand total of : $8205

Has anyone else ever got this type of notice?

Your age? Have you checked into their 401K plan? What about overtime, to makeup the cut? I once took a paycut, but in the long run it was the best move I ever made.

I'm 35 and their benefits package & savings plans are by far better than what I have currently. And yes there will be opportunity for OT.
I got an offer from Shell as a process technician/operator.

I was wondering about pay progression.

The starting rate per hour is kinda low...I was wondering when one might get top pay at the position? I'd be taking a $10.00/hr paycut if I accept and I really need to know how long my family will be eating eat beans & rice?

Every time I do a search the websites that come up want you to join and pay a fee to see the listings.

Any other sites that don't charge?
looking for a place to go pre-game where the black and gold is a plenty...

Any ideas?
