If we are in UCLA's usual dugout I hope someone takes a massive dump in the corner before we get out of there.

(Sorry, I get tacky when I'm drunk and LSU is loosing.)
hahahaha

You sneaky bastard.

I'll tell him he's SOL. Thanks again.
My husband is at his parent's house in BFE south of Poplarville and wants to know are you getting the game on DirectTV, Dish Network, what? He's dying to see the game but doesn't think he'll be able to where he is. His parent's have DirectTV w/o the sports package and a crappy dial-up internet connection so no chance to watch it online. If he didn't have our 2 year old with him I'd have already hit you up for directions to your house for him.

TIA!
You know the game sucks when the announcers are debating the kind of bird perched on the outfield fence AND there is camera coverage of it.

The source I used is 2 years old LINK, but another Rant thread also gave the same dimensions as the ones I provided.

Another difference in the ball making it out of the park is the height of the outfield fence. Theirs is a uniform 8' height while the Box is 10' - 15'.
They are only 5' deeper in the alleys versus the Box.

330' - down the lines
370' - power alleys
395' - straight away center
NCAA pairings show LSU as the away team.

The NCAA awards Super Regionals (that are up for grabs) based on $$$ alone. If/when LSU wins their regional and CSF looses theirs the chances of LSU hosting the Super is very high.

Had to miss the end thanks to feeding, bathing and putting kids to sleep, but GEAUX TIGERS!!!

You say it was AR's left hand that was stepped on? Glad it's not his pitching hand, but any clue on the level of damage done?
OH MY GOD!!OH MY GOD!!OH MY GOD!!OH MY GOD!!

I just peed a little.

I'm sorry. You are correct about the site selections on Sunday and the field on Monday. I know in the past the hosts have been announced before the SEC tournament has concluded. I see now the host sites are to be announced Sunday afternoon. Thank you.
The host sites are announced on Saturday. The SEC tournament doesn't end until Sunday. Unless the NCAA committee has a time machine LSU hosting a Regional isn't going to happen. I'd love it to happen, but I'm not counting on it.

The answer to your question is yes, you can host a Super Regional without hosting a Regional.

In 2007 Mississippi State was a 2 seed at national seed Florida State and won the Regional. Clemson was a 2 seed at Coastal Carolina and won the Regional setting up a national seedless MSU vs Clemson Super Regional pairing. Who should host? Clemson felt that they should host the Super Regional as they had the better record and RPI. In the end MSU was awarded the Super Regional.

In the furor raised by Clemson fans at the awarding of the Super Regional to MSU (then MSU AD Larry Templeton was on the NCAA selection committee) accusing Templeton of all sorts of dishonorable things the following was revealed by other NCAA representatives. Any time MSU was being discussed Templeton, being the gentleman that he was and still is, excused himself from the room and while RPI, Strength of Schedule, etc do determine who is awarded a Regional Host there is one determining factor for any Super Regional Host sites that need to be determined (i.e. when a National Seed looses). That factor is money.

Comparing MSU's Super Regional Host bid bringing to the table their virtually unlimited capacity with their left field lounge and long history of record setting crowds to Clemson's bid was a no-brainer for the money lusting NCAA.

Therefore given LSU's facility and fans I would think if/when they win their Regional as long as they are not locked into going to a Super Regional hosted by a national seed the chances of them being awarded a Super Regional Host would be very good.
