There is a reason i prefer to sit at a full service bar wherever I go. The bartender is never very far away. Guess who has a full service bar? Nola.
VOR,
My SO thinks Stella is way over rated as well, but then I thought Iris was (we debated the merits of Iris for a good hour).

re: making pizza- where to buy fresh dough and grilling the pizza

I cooked pizzas on the grill last week. I use a pizza stone, and I make my own whole wheat dough. I just think the most important thing with grilling pizza outside is keeping your temp consistent so you know how long to keep the pie on the fire. Crispy not burnt is the way. Once more, use a stone.

Stella is way too expensive and too stuffy for me. Commanders is ok. Ok food, good service, but the valet is nice. I love Nola. It is casual. The food is great. You can park at Jax and walk over. The duck on the evening menus is mind blowing and the brisket on the lunch menus is almost as good at half the price. Agree with the comment about the wings at Nola, they are tasty. The Duck confit pizza was highly recommended by several members of the staff, but i wouldnt order it again. Go to Nola.

I was trying to find an AIS tracking site that could show the ships course, but I am having trouble. Does anybody know a good, free AIS tracking site that would allow us to see where the Dai Hong Dan went? This of course assumes they didnt turn their AIS off.

redneck,
Where did you read about the ship going off grid near cuba? I didn't see any mention of this. Can you post the name of the vessel?

re: Fishing closed from LA to the FL panhandle....

Has anybody seen anything on how this is affecting the fish offshore? Do the larger pelagic species just move on? Have there been any large fish kills associated with this spill. I knew a guy that spilled 5k gallons of no. 2 diesel in bayou beouf, and he said the fish were floating up pretty quickly.
