If he'd been drafted after the Alabama game, he'd have dropped from top 10 to bottom of the 1st round. He did not cover well which got scouts wondering if he was a playmaker instead of a shut down corner. He gets a season to redeem himself which is great for him. If he's exposed this year, he'll be a strong safety pro and go at the bottom of the 1st/top of the 2nd round.
and you could easily replace some of these names with Jim Taylor, Chad Lavalais, Albert Richardson, James Britt, Ronnie Estay, AJ Duhe, Fred Miller, Rabb, Kennison, and on and on and on. To the folks who think some lists disregard anything before 2000, well, we are in the golden age of LSU football. It reasons that there would be more players on the list who played recently. This doesn't take away from LSU's history or its great players in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
I might go with this top 5 (in order):
Billy Cannon
Tommy Casanova
Gaynell Tinsley
Bert Jones
Glenn Dorsey
(no particular order)
Abe Mickel
Doc Fenton
Ken Kavanaugh
Jerry Stovall
Warren Capone
Charles Alexander
Kevin Faulk
Dalton Hilliard
Michael Brooks
Nacho Albergamo
Lance Smith
Alan Faneca
Wendell Davis
Tommy Hodson
Todd Kinchen
Josh Reed
Ben Wilkerson
Tyrann Matheu
Patrick Peterson
Marvin "Moose" Stewart
Michael Clayton

Is Dalton Hilliard in the LSU Hall of Fame? If not, why not?
