re: Old Alex Box Demolition Pictures

Posted by TigerN225 on 3/9/10 at 11:38 pm to
Went out there a few weeks ago on a Sunday with my lil Tigers...saw a gate that was opened...we walked around every where...took a lot of pics...grabbed some dirt... thought about all the good times and great memories there...changes the program went through when I started going to watch the Tigers play in '84. No SEC or National Championships, no K Lady, Chris Guillot, Birdman, Coon's Corner or Gorilla Ball yet...goofy promtion nights...the San Diego Chicken...cheerleaders and a small Tiger band at some games, yea that was too weird,...seating pretty much wherever you wanted to...watching many great players from opposing teams play there...winning all those Regions and Super Regionals getting to Omaha and watching Bertman, those coaches, players and fans turn that ghost town into the Mecca of Baseball!

A little of this...:violin:

but lots of cheers to the old Box!

Ever since I was a kid in the 70s, going to the Union bookstore, I would see navy blue sweats and t-shirts and thought how weird that was. No one seemed to know back then either.

I would drive 15 min south to Middendorf's.

Put me down for one...

Regardless of the money brought in, "earning it", etc...just for the sake that a major LSU sport won a National Championship to go along with football and baseball would be awesome. I love and watch all three sports every chance I get.

I understand, just bumped it up.

Can anyone get me a case?
A case is pretty expensive to buy. What are you going to do with that many???

I found the cans in unmarked coke cases here in Walmart. Haven't noticed any bottles.
Not sure if you're talking Shreveport...but BR doesn't go that far plus its owned by another Coke company.

Genral rule around BR area is that if you know of a store that carries those 8 oz glass bottles on a regular basis, then they should get a couple of cases.
While that #1 ranking, 11-0 (home) record is nice, I would really like to see some big name teams early in the year like a Miami, Cal St Fullerton, Ariz St, Fla St, Texas, N. Carolina...a series at home and on the road. The competition level will definitley go up in conference play but like to see teams compete early and so what if you get some early season losses. It would also really bring some excitement to some home games. We can do better than William & Mary, Pepperdine, Brown and Kansas.

I posted this yesterday...

Most of the big grocery stores in the BR area like Walmart, Albertsons, Winn Dixie carry the bottles, usually just a case or two. The cans can be found at certain Piggly Wiggly's.

re: Coffee....

At home...
CC Dark Roast
CC NO blend & chicory
CC Hotel blend

On the road...
Usually CC's and Starbucks

At first I thought this was a gag gift at one of the corner shops in the Quarter, but didn't realize the kick it had, think it has crystal meth in it. Wake The frick Up Coffee

I work with a guy that is from Hawaii and he was telling me about some bad arse coffee. I asked him the name and he said Bad arse Coffee. Thought he was joking at first, but that's really the name, lol. There's going to be a location somewhere in NOLA this year...have to give it a try.

Appreciate the years he was here, and he wore the Black n Gold proudly!

I'm sure he'll get a standing ovation when the Browns come to the Dome this year.
Took my two oldest Tigers to the game, perfect weather and a Tiger win made it a great day. Boys enjoyed running the bases after the game, took a picture with Leon Landry, who I coached in HS, and grabbed the lineup card from the dugout....shhhhhhhh!

re: Today vs. Brown

Posted by TigerN225 on 3/7/10 at 9:30 am to
Suppose to be...

Jordan Rittiner (1-0, 1.12, 8 IP, 5 K/3 BB) vs. Robbie Wilcox (4-2, 4.76, 58 2/3 IP, 31 K/9 BB in 2009)

I'll be there in Sec 104...Brown is goin' down!
