This

we play better on the road :dude:

Since when is giving up a 17 point lead considered "good defense". In the NFL, a defense should be able to protect a three score lead without too much difficulty.

Since when is holding a team to 20 points not enough for our offense to overcome?

not a bad idea, especially if they lay another egg against Carolina

Even if they lose this game it makes no difference

The Sky Is Falling?

This loss has done nothing to change my mind about our team, in fact I pretty much expected it. I think it was a half hearted effort in the 2nd half. In a do or die situation Shockey, Greer, Gay, Shanle, and L. moore all play, Thomas stays in the game. We go for it on 4th and 1 in the 2nd quarter. This team played knowing this game didn't count for much. Lose home field advantage? Probably not, there is still a great chance to get home field advantage. Even if we don't its not major. For some of you to melt down about this is just stupid. The truth is we have lost 2 almost meaningless games, and are still in great shape to win it all, but cry babies will be cry babies, so cry on.

Yeah, its a classic rant melt down, I didn't think
it happened on this board

OK a little perspective; How many times have we heard those words since 1967?

That's what I'm screaming. We are struggling, but far from out of it

Its easy to be negative, and I'm not trying to paint any pretty pictures. I believe in keeping things in perspective. Do you believe its impossible for this team to turn things around? Do you believe the talent is no longer there? or never was there? Do you believe we got lucky to beat the hell out of teams like the NYG, Phily, and the Pats? Do you believe Payton and Williams are bad coaches? This team is still not healthy, Shockey, Gay, Greer, Shanle, Evans and Pierre Thomas to name a few. Do you believe it's easy to get up for 15 games straight?, against some of the best athletes on the planet? to beat 13 out of 15 while being riddled with injuries? This team is struggling, but its a new season after next week. This team is in great shape to win a Super Bowl, will they?, I don't know, but I'm happy to have the chance to watch it unfold. I'm certainly not gonna give up, or become a hater, and say we are done like many on here have. frick a negative!

:whodat: :whodat:

What matters right now is how the team is playing right now

I agree, But 3 weeks from now is different from right now. we have suffered many injuries in the last 8 weeks, more than most teams. Yet we are 6-2 since then. We have had a target on us, teams get up for teams like us. It is very hard to play with that high intensity and emotion 16 games in a row, thats why it almost never happens. The intensity and emotion will be there for the playoffs, hopefully with a completely healthy team. We are in a good position to win the Super Bowl

How is being critical (valid criticism) giving up? Please explain.

Really?

This team has no defense...will lose four in a row, including next week and loss in first round.

True but saying this team can't win, and giving up on your' team is not what a real fan does. This team can and has won many many times, and to sit here and say they can't do it again is rediculous

You're not watching the games then. Defense is not playing well enough to win in the playoffs.

We are just fine,

Well, i could give up and be negative like you people. I saw what this team is capable of on both sides of the ball. How soon we forget the Pats game. Just because we play bad in certain weeks , doesn't mean we play bad in other weeks, which teams have played well every week this season?, Not even the Colts. Go cry to and pout elsewhere

True, and maybe they wont be the same team as they are now in the next 4 games

I believe in Drew Brees, I believe in Greg Williams

Bucs are 5-3 in their last eight road games against the Saints, and all three losses came by four points or less. They will believe they can pull off this upset. Tampa Bay is also coming off its first road win -- an impressive victory at Seattle -- which is a tough place to play. The Bucs will enter this matchup with more momentum than they've had all season. that said Saints 31-28

This was my prediction from before the game in this thread, I'm not shocked at all. We should have won by 3. As i said earlier, it will be a whole new season come playoff time 3 weeks from now. Just my opinion.
