thanks for the suggestion but i think ill respectfully pass.
scary enuff, my pic on here is actually a pic of me painted up for a game lol. i painted for every home game while i attended lsu. i just graduated in '07.
Well, Im new to posting and usually just like to read the posts from everyone.

I get so frustrated seeing tiger fans who all want the same goal for lsu (a great head coach, endless 5 star athletes with no end in sight to 5 star recruiting, and an undefeated season year after year *sarcasm*), trash talk and put down each other.

Fact is...we lsu fans get that we aren't going to dominate the sec, or all of college football, every year. We also know that going undefeated every year isn't going to happen. And we are all smart enough to know that in college football there are inevitables: teams/conferences build dynasties, have stays on top and winning streaks, lose players to drafts, go through droughts, and go through rebuilding years, etc and so on and the cycle of football continues.

As for Nick Saban and when he left, how he left, and who was willing to pay who what and how much, hind sight is always 20/20. Yes, I completely agree that with the talent of our team, the calibur of our athletes, and the reputation of our university and athletic department, we should in no way have two seasons back to back like we've had. Do I think we should have been undefeated this year and last? While I'd like to think so, and will argue to the grave with any friends for opposing SEC teams that we should, in reality I know the answer is no. I know that with a national title under Les' belt, a 7-5 season followed by a 9-3 year, both with bowl wins (yes Im being presumptuous about winning our bowl game this year) that the chances of Les being "cut" is slim to none.

No one is accepting "mediocre" seasons year after year, nor is anyone stating that "it is what it is" and we should just suck it up. On the other hand, there is alot of money at stake (for the university, recruiting, and fans alike), bragging rights to be earned, and disappointment from those of us so dedicated to the Tigers.

We have a coach who is extremely well paid, athletes who are among the best of the best, fans that are truly dedicated and who bleed purple and gold, and the loyal, beloved Mike. So if some of us Tigers are less than happy with this years and last years performance, so be it. Let us bitch and moan, speak our minds, and rant till our hearts hurt a little less. And no matter if we disagree on the problem being a need for a different coach, a young fresh quarter back, or whatever the case may be, lets show each other some respect please. After all, there's plenty of Gator, Tide, and other SEC fans out there to take the frustration out on.
