re: Tomatoes ripe yet?

Depends on the maturation of the plant/tomatoes. Also, depends on any other animals interested. once they start to turn red pests may start to pick at them. if pests mess with them harvest when they start to turn red, leave them inside the house(not refridgerated) to ripen and turn red. Then eat.

i have heard of a couple of tricks that may help thwart pests from messing with tomatoes. Never tried any of these methods before so im not sure if they work.

1.) put a red christmas ornament on your plant. Theory is that the pests mess with the ornament and realize its not food and leave plant alone.
2.) put a plastic zip-lock back over the tomato.

if you end up trying any of these methods out i'd be interested in how they work out. I have a few maters that I might try these on

From left, I have dragon tongue green beans, zephyr squash, bonnie bell peppers, banana peppers, tomatoes and in the front I have a cucumber plant that might not make it.

all looks good. Use a trellis for the squash and cucumber.

my tomato plants are exploding right now. i have some huge maters but they just wont turn red.

shock them and they'll turn red. Shock them by watering them as little as you can without hurting the plant.

I have heard from a couple people that wearing bug spray can strip the camo. Anybody else have this problem?

I am in the same boat. Borrowing friends shotguns but now want my own. Good advice so far. What should I get if I am looking to duck, dove, and quail hunt? Also heard that the camo guns lose the camo if you get mosquito spray on it. What are some of the differences between models (Browning: maxus/Gold,Benelli: SuperBlackEagle/Nova, Baretta: 687-686 / A390-391)?
Sorry this is a lot. prob should have just started new thread. Advice

What are some of the best duck hunting deals around the Houston area? Just went to Rockport for pretty cheap.
