Yep, Jarret Lee was not developed to run or do a play-action type pass. We don't even know if he can run, because all his plays were designed as pocket style passes. The coaches have really messed up this kid who has a very quick ball release. For those of you who might not remember, Jarret Lee was highly touted as a four-star recruit.

The Bama football team won, but the Alabama fans lost. Why? Because once again after the BCS championship game was over, they crowed, "We beat the hell out of you!" The Bama fans seem to have made a tradition of showing what a sorry, trashy lot they are with no inkling of sportsmanship.
Another thing: I don't know of a single instance where the Texas fans booed their players, but LSU fans have booed thier team and players over the years. Especially notable is their booing of Jarret Lee.
Tiger Fans, please don't descend to the depths of the Bama fans, and maintain at least a little class.

The LSU fans are among the worst when it comes to giving a kid a break. Jarret Lee was booed unmercifully last year and the few times he played this year. You all forgot that he threw for 261 yards in the second half alone against South Carolina last year and that he was a redshirt FRESHMAN, probably 19 or barely 20 years old at the time. This year against La. Tech. he didn't run a couple of times when he should have - maybe b'c of a lack of confidence. But the O Line's blocking was terrible in that game, and the defense stank up Tiger Stadium, too. It's no wonder he was visibly upset (as evident by his facial expressions) when he played against Tech. You also forgot that the first pass he threw this year was for ten yards on an up-the-middle screen play, and his next pass went for a TD. Texas Tech showed their discipline, consistent practice, and confidence against Michigan State as a result of a well-practised team. I wouldn't blame Jarret for trying to go to Texas Tech or Boise State, maybe TCU, where they treat their QBs with respect. Let's face it, whoever starts at QB next year for the Tigers probably won't be as good as Brett Favre or Tim Tebow.
I agree that JJ looked confused at times although he has a pretty good arm despite his throwing the ball into the mud at least six times and getting lucky on a couple of non-interceptions that Penn State players could have returned for TDs.
Overall, we were spoiled by Matt Flynn's ball-handling abilities and his smarts of knowing what to do and when.
Sometimes the coach doesn't make the right judgement call as to who should be the staring QB. Reminds us of DiNardo not playing Rohan Davey much; but after DiNardo left, his interim replacement Hal Hunter started Davey in the Arkansas game that year. We beat the heck out of Ark. - about 31 to 7. So, coaches giving a kid a chance and instilling confidence in him can have a big influence on the kid's performance.
Maybe the LSU coaches will learn some valuable lessons from this season and put some spark into next year's team. I hope so. Happy New Year to you all.

Why didn't Coach Crowton teach Jarret Lee when to run in the only game he started (La. Tech.)? Jarret has received unmerciful boos and criticism from LSU "fans," and if I were in his shoes I would definitely transfer to a school, say South Carolina, Arkansas or Texas, where his passing talents would be appreciated. How soon we forget that Jarret, as a red-shirt freshman, passed for 261 yards in the second half alone against South Carolina team last year! Give the kid a break! I didn't hear anyone booing Jefferson's underthrowing a bunch of passes yesterday and hitting the Penn State players' jerseys a few times.
Coach Miles, how about a little razzle-dazzle next year? You've got the horses, so use 'em! Also, where is the hard-running fullback that we used to have? We notice that Penn State, Alabama, Florida, and Ole Miss all established the running game that you kept talking about but that rarely materialized for LSU this year. And get Coach Chavis to earn his new raise by teaching the defense how to sack the opposing quarterbacks.
In 2009 Alabama fans earned the low class and trashy award for yelling, "We beat the hell out of you!" at the losing teams and their fans after their games were over. Coach Saban and the football team are a class act, but the Bama fans are real losers.
Ordinarily, I would pull for the SEC team, but this time it's Geaux Texas!!
